All right bufflehead, here's the, ''knowledge''. I had tried a wash but it did not work out the way I wanted it to. What I did was I smeared some Burnt Sienna oil paint on a napkin and then dipped a Q-tip into the paint and dabbed it on to the sandbags, (I did this twice for the tops and once for the sides), then I smudged and smeared it around on the bags. After that I let it dry for about 15 minutes, after that I removed the extra with nail polish remover and repeated this process about 4 times, lastly, I dry brushed Burnt Umber all over. And to finish it all up I used a spotter brush to dab burnt umber and sienna, and I think that about sums it up. Hope that helps. Thanks, Jim
