Hey guys, I found a good book of the 251 series. It's the SdKfz 251 vol. I/II Tank Powwer vol. LVII. It has some great photos and color plates. It shows a pic of the /12 which is the same as the one in the squadron book. Also has two pictures of the /15 in the hitlerjugend, Beglium of 1944. A couple of interesting pictures of rocket stowage for the stuka version as well.
Also I found it has a picture of a /3 armed with a 2.8cm AT rifle.
dupes This may interest you as well. If I remember right you are doing the /2. I has a picture of the riveted version and two color plates of the /2. One is a c version in Stalingrad with vehicle id number and markings. White washed as well. The other is of the 13th panzer division during the summer of 43' again a c version.
hermesminatures This book has a four plates of the /8 as well. No new photos I think that you don't have. It has one that has a water tank mounted on the right outside of the vehicle though. One of the plates has vehicle id numbers at Kursk during July 43' ausf d. Odd thing is the plate shows whitewash. Another is one from the 4th panzer division winter of 43-44' ausf d. Last one is from LAH march of 43 with a faded whitewash ausf c. Found one more of a whitewashed d from das Reich march of 43'
Other plates are as follows:
/4 A version hungary 45'
/6 A version 2nd panzer division June 40'
/1 B version DAK autumn 41'
a couple of c version /1, another /6 c, a couple of /3 c versions
a couple of d versions /1, a couple of ausf d /7, /10 ausf c, /11 ausf d, /13 ausf b
/14 ausf d, /14 ausf d, /14 ausf d, /16 ausf c, /16 ausf c, /16 ausf d, /16 ausf d, 2- /17 ausf c, 2-/17 ausf d with the odd turret, /18 ausf c, /18 ausf b, 2- /21 ausf d, 3- /22 ausf d
I am going to try to grab a scanner, if anyone would like me to try to get a copy of the plate for you I can try.
Hope this helps some of you.
