Sorry I didn't get back to you last nite Tony.

You may have already tried this but I would thin the paint till it runs and splatters and then back off just enough for it not to. Try adding just the retarder to the thinner without adding water to it first. And be sure the nozzle/tip in your airbrush is clean. Doesn't take much buildup for a bad situation to get much worse. And if all else fails, try using higher air pressure. If you can go up to 30 - 35 psi or even more give it a try. You won't have to thin the paint nearly as much but overspray may be harder to control.

It's OK to be an oddball sometimes.  Like your plan leaving one in DY. Yes  Getting closer to the finish line you are!

Awesome work here and great results with the mask.
Happened to read a build log by Angus Creighton on the same subject, he was using a similar mask but from the German supplier Uschi van der Rosten.
Your lineup here is excellent, please keep them coming :)

Very Best Regards

Tony, "the Quatruplets" are looking just perfect--you've achieved a nice variety in camo choice to keep it all interesting!

Nice job, and a great collection!

Good Morning People

Well the rain that was predicted to start in last Thursday finally made it this morning. As soon as we get a break in the showers i'll spray the Future and place the decals. If not I might color a set or two of the tracks.

Highly appreciate your compliments and the line up does tooYes

Why cant I get all excited.......too late anyway because I am Stick out tongue  They all look GREAT !  I'll be even more excited if you can pronounce that word "Schulungsfahrzeug".

Decals really did lay down well.  It's amazing how much just a few markings add to the build.  Really cool pics of how you paired them up Yes

Hi Tony!

They all look great! Yes

Especially when one is able to see them side by side and compare them. One get an unusally good view of the differences between the versions.

One funny thing. I misread the text on one of the vehicles. I missed the letter  U, and thought it said "Schlungfahrzeug", which I - of course -never had heard of. So I googled the german word for "Schlung" and didn't find anything at first and googled some more, and found this definition (which in context is hilarious):

http://www.definition-of.net/schlung

I can't imagine what they thought when they came up with that example! Big Smile

After taking a look at the vehicle again I was quite happy to learn that it's a training vehicle - "SchUlungfahrzeug" - and not some kinky type of paper panzer. Big Smile

I'm still around but my brother has been in the hospital since April 5th and not doing so well and to stay busy I built this one for a friend.

Full interior front to rear. He'll do the painting.

Then I got this DML kit out of the stash and have been working on it since then.

Tony: Hope your brother is better soon! I'd kinda lost track of things but they're looking great. Love all the detail on the gun and interior of the fighting compartment on the leFH18/40/2.

Thanks, its been a strain on us around here and having the hobby has helped past the time when I can stay focused on what i'm doing.

The kit is really detailed well and mostly correct but there is still room for corrections to be made where DML cut corners or items that they overlooked.

Same old errors that Dragon is famous for on the instructions too.

Thanks Again Gamea
