Holy cow!!!  Now I want to get this stencil set...  you did GREAT!!!!!!!!

I have to know... how did it work?  Like a sticker or a stencil that you had it taped against the hull before you sprayed paint?

Thanks  buddy!

Andy it has a low tack sticky backing and i'm told if you store it on the original board it comes on it will last for some time.

The stuff is interesting but I can see right now it has a down side. I'll fill you in tomorrow.

Looks good Tony. Interesting scheme. Do you use acrylics or enamels?

Ain't that some cool lookin effects guys?

Tony I used acrylic. The stencil is a thin vinyl material and i'm not sure of its solvent resistance. I need to check that out before someone fries it, it's too expensive for that.

Rob you are referring to Uschi the inventor behind the stencil aren't you?

i have an old tamiya one of these as a partial on the shelf. think it will be my first tri-color airbrushing. does this kit have small ovals in it. i have a 1/35 SEEHUND and i want to do the leopard spotted camo but the thought of cutting all the spots out of tape doesn't soung like fun. btw tried frog tape today on a 1/48 I-16 with good results.

Nice work with the stencils Tony. I'm curious as well if the masks will hold up under solvent-based paints...since I work in enamels, if it can tolerate them, this might be just the ticket for the Grille M that I had in mind sporting this scheme. Wink

Bill i'll read over the paper work real good and see if it's OK to use enamels.

Be back later and let you know something.

Thanks for looking into it Tony. Sharp work with those stencils continues, I can see how it might tire you out a bit in the process. Wink

WOW!  Beautiful work... I want to take it out for a long honeymoon with your permission.  One of best camo job I have seen here.  Now I want to buy the stencil.  I checked with three major online vendors and I couldn't find it so where did you buy it from?

Thanks guysYes

That's just what I figured too Tread, solvents would strip the sticky right off in a hurry.

I use that Mr. Leveler thinner  with Tamiya and it has not effected the sticky one bit.

Thanks Again fellows

Tony that really looks great. From the colors I had a hunch you are using acrylics. Tamiya? Spent a couple hours behind an airbrush myself this evening.  Kicked my butt. Need new glasses...
