The kit's hatches are not the typical Pz IV hatches.  Don't change them.  They are more or less correct.

This was one of the first tank model I built a long time ago........       It would be interesting to give it a go again.  Anti-Aircraft variants are a favorite of mine.

I'm looking forward to see that one put together!

You could go either way...while the prototype never saw combat, it did undergo test trials and it would've gotten dirty in the process. HTH! Wink

Bill and Rob... Thanks for the info and two of them pics I didn't see when i was doing my searching it all helps I probably won't have a update till the weekend since I'm on 10 hour days. I'm thinking now how much should I weather this should I put it in a combat scene or like it is seen here with minimal dirt waiting for Hitlers approval?

Yes, this was the prototype with only one being made in early 1943.  Do to with the increased altitudes of Allied planes it was canceled on May 14, 1943 and it went with a bigger gun.

Don't know what happened to this vehicle?  Always thought it was one of the coolest looking of the Flak vehicles.Cool

Look forward to see her come together.

Yep, you're right about the Flakvierling version of the Mobelwagen...never entered production and only the prototype was developed. Ought to make for a fun project!

That is going to look very cool with 4 barrels.  That's a lot of 20mm shells ripping up a target.

So I have only been able to find 3 pics of this online. There's tons pics showing the Mobelwagen with the single Flak 43. From other sources what I've learned is there was only one or very few of these made as a prototype and Hitler turned the design down in favor of the bigger Flak 43 mount but again not sure if these ever seen combat or not. But knowing Germany towards the later part of the war they pushed anything into service that could move if anyone has any more info I would love to know. So here's where it starts!

Bought this at the LHS had one set of idlers painted grey and one half of a road wheel missing lucky for me the kit comes with four spares

Hmm so that's why German lost the war they must have ran out of 'C' Cell batteries lol. Also look at the hatches for the driver and radio operator nothing what a Panzer IV should look like that will have to be changed.

I think these will do a good job at replacing the kits solid molded 2cm Flak guns

I also have a set of tracks ordered from squadron it's been over 7 weeks now I wonder where the hell they are at it always takes forever for them to ship stuff out but the guns from spruebrothers came in four days. also ordered this set to replace some of the ammo boxes
