Hey Erush, remind me never to get in a debate with you like I did with Leopold. [:0] LOL . You look like you were probably a pretty good football player at one time before model building took over. Do you have any little ones?

Erock, you have a very cute lttle charmer there, your a lucky guy. Have any others?

Hey, don't go too hard on us "young'uns" you little whipper-snapper. Like Moses, I turn 30 in April, and I have to shave my head to hide the increasing acreage of my bald spot, not to mention my greying gotee. Kids (and old, persnikity people) will do that to you.

While on the subject of meeting other modelers, I just recieved an assignment to S. Korea (Osan Air Base to be exact) and I was wondering if there was anyone in the Forum that was from, or lives in Korea. Along the same lines if anyone needs anything from "over there" let me know I leave in mid-October.

You're a lucky man, Moses. Children are such wonderful things, when they're not destroying your models. Do you know if it's a boy or girl?

Moses,
this warning comes too late,
but being a dad is going to really cut into your modeling time!
but i am told there may be some benefits to balance this.
congratulations,

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pic ...... it was a lot of fun to indeed meet someone that was before just a bunch of words in a post. This site here at FSM had really turned into a IMHO a great place. The friendly atmosphere is a great encouragement to other modellers and to myself.

Now onto the subject of scale figures. I'll only speak for myself here and Bill can throw his comments in later when he gets home. I agree that they have to be natural poses. The most natural pose for myself would be bellying up to a table at Tony Roma's on "all you can eat rib night". It just don't get more natural than that.

Any others going to be in the Edmonton / Red Deer / Calgary area in the next while, drop me a line.
I know where most of the Shermans are.

To add to the list of viewed vehicles yesterday. Centurians by the handfull, D7 Cat with scraper, Universal Carrier Mk.II, and a German leFH18 10.5cm Howitzer.

Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Make sure that they are cast in "Natural Poses." If you put Robert in your Tiger, it would be a pose of agony.

Erock,

Now that's hysterical!

Would those figures be 1/35 or 1/16?

just a quick question guys:
i am an modeler returning to the hobby after a lengthy hiatus.
so far i have built a couple of those things w/ wings and props, but i am interested in trying some armor. i have begun to accumulate kits, in the time honored fashion of modelers everywhere.
i have some concerns as some of the techniques are a bit different, and my hair is beginning to recede. Big Smile [:D]
will building treaded things accellerate this ? Smile [:)]

hope to get some tips from the pros!

ed.

btw - J-Hulk: i posted a ? for you on the Auto forum a few days back.
if you have time, take a look. thanks.

That sounded like a good time, fellas Smile [:)]

As we speak, I am drafting a letter to Verlinden Productions, to see if we can get 1/35 resin figures of Sherm and wipw for dioramas Wink [;)]

I like the idea of a FSM convention!
