I'm starting on the four warp nacelle pylons and I would like to ask a question.
As a potential builder would you like the pylons as four seperate pieces, attached to the engneering hull, or attached to the nacelles. I'm leaning toward four seperate pieces with locating holes in the engineering hull and pins on the end of the pylons. Because they are so thin, I was also thinking of casting those parts with a section of brass tube placed in the mold before adding the resin. What do you think?

A brief update. I just finished the bussard collector so the only structure left to fabricate are the pylons. Wink [;)]

Please do! Not sure what the problem is, but I'm sure it's a conspiracy perpetuated by those COMM Nazi's so that I can't view really kewel pics! Big Smile [:D]

I'm glad I have all those fins glued on.

Here is a comparison of the raw part fresh off the lathe and the primer sealed piece.

Hee Hee, Thanks Matt! I just sprayed the sealer coat on my warp nacelle master and it looks like I can call that little hurdle done too. Let's see, just warp nacelle pylons and bussard collectors to go. Approve [^]Big Smile [:D]

I finally finished the saucer section! I'm busy gluing a bunch of cooling fins onto my warp nacelle master. I thought I'd take a sec to show you a couple pics of the finished saucer section master less it's sealer coat.

Well back to those pesky fins. This is going to make me cross eyed!Tongue [:P]
