Too busy drooling over my 3 Starship Trooper Kits to get anything done.

Will continue on the Group-Build when I get back home end of the week.
Still going will be slow till end of the month as I also got to get the first issue of the "Modelers Gazette" out by the end of the month.

I'm wondering if it's too late to join this group build? If not I'd like to get used to working on Gundams (I know, overdone in quite a few circles, but this would be my first) as I have a teeeny-tiny 1/144 Blitz Gundam from Seed that I would get started on. Let me know.

BTW, 250 pounds for a model? That's like... umm, a whole lotta USD $$$!!!! I wonder if it makes breakfast in the morning... Big Smile [:D]

I just ordered a kit that will cost me 1.150USD + another 250USD for the options Kit. Big Smile [:D]

And, yes, it comes with a payment plan. They got another kit for 1.800 USD too that is nearly 1.8 metres tall.

Well, 1.8 meters is a substantial size, so there's a good reason for the price. Care to enlighten us what costs so much? Hmmm? Wink [;)]

Thanks for allowing me in, I'm examining and priming the kit as we speak. Time to break out the copy of Gundam SEED and get reference material... RESEARCH TIME!!! Cool [8D]

I got my little 1:200 Macross Officers Pod out last night and did a little dry fitting. Sweet little kit that might even be airbrushed as opposed to brush painted!

Be a nice pleasant in between build while I fight with my 1:72 Zvezda Kamov KA-27 Helicopter.

cheers

Oops, another latecomer here! I'd like to join in on this GB. Thinking of building a Mospeda Legioss Armo-Soldier in 1/72 scale (one of the old IMAI kits). Can I come and play? Smile [:)]

I'd like to jump in on this one as well, but as of posting this, I haven't picked a subject. I will update shortly with my subject.

Build update.

Since I am back home again I can continue working on the GB.

So far I got the legs for both the RSC and TC Scopedogs done(not painted though.
Weapons systems are also 90% done, still need to mod a few parts as per Instructions

Next will be the cockpits(one close, one opened) and the heads.
After that I will attack the arms, and hip armour.

Once all the major assemblies are done I will start painting both kits, different greensas nearly every version has a variance in the colour scheme.

Final will be adding a bit of ground to a wood base and putting both kits on it.
The RSC will be in downform with open cockpit and the TC will be standing on guard.
not sure yet about Chirico either will do him sitting in the RSC cockpit or standing next to it.

Sounds great, make sure to post pics if possible!

My build has the legs together and the seams filled/sanded. Need to mix up the base coat and spray before I can go any further. I'm kinda stalled, because I got busy playing and beating Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on the Gamecube and started playing Front Mission 4 for the PS2. Darn addictions! Evil [}:)]

Hi, is there any chance I can hop on board this group build?

I've got a Revel 'Challenger 1' 1/72 kit that is crying out for some creative reconstruction, I intend to rig it with rubber skirts, twin thermal lances, figures and
a camo scheme to suit combat on Mars.

Regards

Slow, I have all the details worked out and have several scale drawings but I need to wrap up my Interdictor project before I go all out on this. Resin casting can be fun and enjoy now because from what I'm hearing the cost of resin is due to go way up.Angry [:(!]

Hey Matt, I know I already asked this, but you seem to have missed me and Hatewall. Can we get onto the build as well?

Understandable that you're busy though--I've seen the Interdictor--wild! Awsome work!

Cool, thanks Matt!

After looking at my Legioss kits, I figured I'd take a bit of a challenge and instead of doing the Armo-Soldier, I'd do the Armo-Diver. Gonna take a bit of work to detail the cockpit though--it's almost as bare as an Airfix kit's Tongue [:P]

Boy I can't wait to see some of these projects take shape! We have quite a big mix on this build and it should bring us alot of great pics. I hope to start mine this month but I have no idea yet just how long it will take to build.

I should make quiet a bit of process on the Scopedogs this weekend. Might have a few pics to share soon.

Also forgot that the mounts for the backpacks are still the horrid old ones in the kits, need to take them off and sand/file them straight, etc.
Still not decided exactly how many rockets I will load into the rocket launchers too, might leave one or two rockets off the kit.

On top of that I hate the way that the provided the extra rivets in the kits, time to hit the LHS and get a decent set of AM rivets.

I will most likely start puttying all the major assemblies next week and get them primed by the weekend.

Okay here is the 'Challenger mkI' so far

Hover has now turned into 'Anti Grav', I just liked the lines, the turret is to have 2 thermal lances, anti infantry pulse cannon and at the rear a SAM system, the front of the Tank will have inlets to cool the Hydro-Monoxide power plant down, oh and as a cheeky aside i intend to have 'Intel Inside' somewhere on the vehicle. Especially as it was designed and built by 'MicroIntelliSoft Worldwide Inc' in 2079.

There must be a huge margin of profit in shipping and handling these days. Everyone from ppl selling on ebay to companys are looting with the S&H.

I went the the Games Workshop US site to order a mini for reference.......
$10 for the mini.....
$7 to ship
