What may I ask is this interesting looking machine?

Well, I got the primer on my Marauder and as usual have to go back and do some remedial work on seams. Should be ready for some airbrushing next weekend. Also should be able to make a start on my W40K Tau Hammerhead as well.

I won the Tau Codex on ebay last week, my son reckons it is the bees knees for assistance in all things Tau.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit in with the criteria, but then again I don't want to talk for the build daddy. Hopefully they say yes, and welcome to this build if they do!

Hey guys, I normally route around in the armor forums, but a friend told me about this one. I have a kit bash project that might fite into this. Basicly I'm taking an M3 LEE and was trying to make a mini-gun to put onto it, but the gun turned out waaaaayyy to big, looks like a Vulcan cannon, so I put that into where the main gun is suposed to be. Added some extra aromor to it and rounded it off some. Let me know what you all think if this will fall into this theme.

Matt, I have had circle cutter that looked more or less like those, but it wasn't Olfa (I think it was some cheap copy).
I have tried to find a decent one, but the shops around here don't have them. Anyway, Bill (from CircleScribe) has promised to send me one for evaluation.

OK, just got back from the local Michael's (I shudder with fear at the music they play) and took the pics you requested. I hope you have a speedy connection, as I left the photos at 1024x768. I did do some procedures to reduce the size without sacrificing too much resolution. I know I coulda cropped them, but the Mrs and I have to grab a bite to eat before we head out to the Bar with some friends and we're running short of time. Oops, "She who must be obeyed" is standing there staring at me, here's the link:

A little update on the AT-ST, I've started construction of the waist-section, a lot improvisation there.
As for the "turret", that one is progressing well. At the moment I'm waiting for a circle-scriber (which I'll get for reviewing on my site) to finish the cheeks. I'll still have to look on my attic if I can find an auto kit that isn't curbside, and to look for some armament.

My current status report.

Got 4 legs assembled but not puttied and primed yet.
Got 4 shoulder+ upper arms asembled
Got 1 upper body + Head assembled(see above) but not puttied or primed.
Second upper body and Head will be in the open position.
Got all the Weapons for the RSC and TC versions assembled soon to be attached to the respective upper bodies.

Next will be the waist and waist skirt armor(should happen before the weekend).
Over the weekend I will be doing the puttying and getting everything ready for priming.
Will also assemble the cockpit and head for the RSC Version.
Starting on the resin figs too.

Will finalise Dio layout and start sourcing for supplies.
Current idea is one scopedog on Downform(RSC with hatch open not sure about which pilot figure I will be using) behind a large rock formation with the TC Scopedog providing fire support on the other side.

Thinking of letting a few missiles come out of the launcher too, easy as the heads come separate on these kits.

Those are my favorite mecha, going to be doing a 1/35 Berserga for the Mad Robot Day build.

Done them from 1/60 upwards, still got a 2~3 months wait till the finished producing my 1/8 Resin kit.

They are basic and quick to be made if you got all the supplies. Full details are covered in the current issue of "The Modellers Gazette".

Here is a pic of a test-fitted one that came out so-so.

i was in a rush to take a photo and did it quickly, it has now been removed and will be redone this weekend. I am doing 2 of those heads each with 3 sensors.

Actually what happenedwas that I was short of lenses and used a 5mm lens, rather than the 4.5mm one that would fit better and sit deeper in the sensor housing.

The 3 sensor sizes needed are as follows: Green 4.5mm + 1mm, Red 2.5mm

Finally got around to painting the gloss black I'm using as a base color for my Blitz Gundam. I just hate cleaning my airbrush, ya know? Smile [:)]

Anywho, it turned out real nice (not finished painting though) and it's nice and glossy. Almost a bit too glossy. Once this model is done, it's getting a coat of Krylon Satin clear to tone down the "bling" factor. In a few more hours I'm going to shoot another coat and snap a few photos to show the progress. I can't wait to finish this thing! There's just something about the combination of black and red that gets me going... Evil [}:)]

Yeah, and it's real fun too, maxx.

If you need those templates (the actual papermodel) just say so, because the original download is no longer available on the net (some people had downloaded, printed those and sold them on e-bay it seems).
I used to have the templates for the MF too, but I can't find them anymore, those were great too.
