Fisished my '32 Ford 3window coupe, half done on a '67 Corvette convertable. I'm waiting to pick up Yamiya's 1/350 yamamoto, Bismarck, Missouri and New Jersey. Until then, I have Tamiya 1/32 F14 with USS Independence markings to keep me busy.

Recently finished the Revell 1/96 USS Constitution.

Currently working on the Heller 1/100 HMS Victory, with a Revell 1/96 Cutty Sark waiting in the wings.

I am also looking at building the Revell Spanish Galleon or the Heller 1/100 Le Soleil Royal or the King of the Mississippi riverboat.

I was counting projects, and there are seven...Dead [xx(]
I thought there were only six...Sleepy [|)]

This is the Hydrofoil hull with the Sparviero superstructure mounted. Some of the detail parts were removed in case the boat fell over off the foils during testing. "We're gonna need a bigger pump...Disapprove [V]
The Boeing PGH-2 Tucumcari is an almost exact match for this boat. The two boats were a joint project between Italy and the United States. So If I can get it running, I will probably build the PGH-2 Tucumcari superstructure for it later.

I don't remember if I mentioned this project before so forgive me if it is a repeat. I am doing a commission for the Erie-Champlain Canal Company of one of their canal boats based at Waterford, NY. It is scratchbuilt in 1/24th scale and is of a 43 by 10 foot cruising canal boat. ECCC has four of these boats that they rent out for people wishing to cruise the Erie or Champlain canal systems. They are diesel powered with a bow thruster and can sleep six. The boats are completely supplied with all amenities including showers, bedding, tableware and glassware. I have just about completed the hull and have the superstructure ready to install and many of the fittings completed.

Ahoy fellowmodelers,

My ongoing project: U-BOATS !

I have been working on my collection of German U-Boats in 1:125 scale.
I use the Revell hulls and convert and scratchbuild the rest. The Revell
hulls do require extensive reworking to make them look more like the
hull of the Type VII u-boat. But patience conquers all!
So far :
Type VIIB early
Type VIIB late
Type VIIC

On the workbench:
Type VIIA w/ external stern torpedo tube
Type VIID Minelayer
Type VIIC/41
Type VIIC w/ extended wintergarten (Mediterranien)

When finished will post photos.
You can see my VIIC (U-96) at:

Have a nice day and happy modeling !

Excellent Unterseeboot, Herr Passaseo. Nothing like a detailed deck gun to get the bluten racing and your weathing is esquisto. Bravisimo!

I'm working on the Revell "USS Intrepid". Not very high quality. I should have used the Hasewaga(sp) "USS Yorktown" or the "USS Essex". The flight deck looks like a rocking chair rocker, parts don't line up. Lack of detail in the injection parts. I've got a lot of filling & sanding to do.Ashamed [*^_^*]

ok - on the workbench:
1/72 Revell Germany Type VIIC converted to radio control (static diver)
Academy 1/32 F/A 18 with resin aftermarket cockpit (started Nov 2004)
Imai (Heller) 1/100 HMS Victory (under construction since 1985)
I tend to build slow.

Still workin on my 1/400 u-boats...

type II A (pre-war camo)
type II B
type II C
type II D (with snorchel)

type VII B
type VII C (early)
type VII C (late)
type VII C/41 (with snorchel)

type IX B
type IX C (late)
type IX C/40 (with snorchel)
type IX D (cut-out foredeck, with snorchel)

type VII C (Flak-boat)
type VII C/41 (with Biber midget subs)
type IX B (with rockets)
type IX D (with Bachstelze)

The last four will have special camo schemes, the others will be painted in various tones of grey used by the Kriegsmarine throughout the war (not only the usual light gray).

Right now, I'm almost done with the type IIs, while the first four type VIIs are 50% completed. Still a long way to go...

special cheers to Grauwolf!

I don't think I have mentioned this before. I am working on a scratchbuilt 1/96 scale model of a Confederate States Navy blockade runner CSS OWL. The model is complete except for the rigging which is just getting underway. OWL is the class leader of four steel hulled paddlewheel runners constructed in England for the CSN in 1863. The hull is b&b construction along the buttock lines.

I'm currently into Dragon's 1:700 USS Essex kit. And the 53 20mm single mounts, THAT ALL NEED CORRECTING BECOUSE OF IMPROPER MOLDING for the base/shield parts!!!
I'm really surprised by this, as none of the reviews I've read on this kit mentioned such a glaring correction needed to be made for the 20mm's.
A bit of a pain, but I'm a trooper.......

Hi all, I am building the infamous 1/100 Hella HMS Victory.

Great project and requires a great deal of investigation and research to get the details correct. I have purchased the recommended reading " Anatomy of Nelsons Ships" along with other texts to assist.

I have found the construction details from the wooden version also helpful as these are readily available.

I am currently completing the hulls prior to assembly and insertion of the decks and cannons. Am really over building cannons. Dead [xx(]

Having a great time with the project and also enjoy reading all your comments and hints, keep up the good work

Cheers Cool [8D]
