I have a lot on the table.

First I am working on a 1/350 scale Essex converting into the USS Kearsarge CVA 33 with full detail for 1951 moderazation period.

Second I am working on a 1/200 scale North Cormorant offshore oil rig diaroma being towed out to sea by tugs under the guard of a US naval ship.

Third I am working on a 1/400 scale USS Enterprise for personal display.

Fourth I am working on an Italian front WWII diaroma With infantry.

Just finished my 1/700 scale Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate from Dragon. Excellent kit that went together well, and the Gold Medal Models photoetch set really made it shine. I have to say, though, that warships are a LOT more complicated than merchant ships. My 1/700 Victory ship was a breeze compared to all the intricate little angles and bits that this ship had.

I just finished moving, too. I don't know what I'll complete next once I unpack a thousand boxes ... but I am in a couple group builds that deserve a finished product.

How about a 1:350 Montana, modernized with nuclear power. I'm half through that one right now ...

i've got tamiya's shimokita kit and skywave's shirane kit and am modifying them heavily. Meaning this: the shimokita is getting an all new interior, well deck, "flight" deck and gas turbine propulsion which will make it into a fleet logistics ship; and the shirane is getting converted to gas turbine with some help from a white ensign models invincible class update set, along with equipment to convert it into a rescue/salvage vessel (ie it will have at least 2 DSRV's on board). Both will be completed with USN markings, but first i have to come up with names and designations for both of them. Any suggestions?

too bad you didn't get the Gold Medal Models detail set for the Arizona but also make sure you add ladders to the kit especially the forecastle area since none are provided in that area.

Revell's Battleship Scharnhorst. I'm still debating on the PE sets. I plan on picking up my Tamiya 1/700 USS Hornet this weekend too

I'm wanting to do a ship but don't know which one to start with. I've got several different Airfix 1/600 scale Warspite,Nelson, KGV,Graf Spee,Repulse,Ajax,Belfast,Iron Duke,Hood X2, Scharnhorst,Ark Royal, and probably one or two I forgot. I also have the Heller Victory, DML Arizona. Banner Models Arizona, Just traded the Heller Prinz Eugen for cockpit details for my Trumpeter P-40B, Revel Ark Royal w/ destroyer and I'm looking really hard at the 1/700 Prinz Eugen by Tamiya.

Any suggestions anyone????????

Thanks,

Tracy

Modeling the USS Pennsylvania (BB-38 as of 1945) in uh. . .generic. . .scale.  You could say that I am scratchbuilding. . .I'm making all the parts myself (kinda).  Alas, it will never be a tangible: this model is all computer generated in a 3d modeling software package lols.

hi guys. been here for a while but under another name. putting the final touches on the tamiya kg5 with pe in 1-350 and looooking good. in the pipeline i have the bismarck in 1-350, gneisenau in 1-400, a 1-200 sovremeney from trumpeterand the lee 1-400 enterprise. my slipway is kinda full at the moment. and to throw something different into the mix is the 1-35 dragon 88mm. one query though. has anyone built the lee 1-400 enterprise and if so, how does the 1-350 pe set look on this kit? i am going to upgrade the  airwing with sets from trumpeter. any feedback will be very welcome. i am going to build the big e in the later guise as you get both the modern and beehive island in the kit. thinking of the beehive as you do not see many models of the e in this guise anymore. call me a masochist, but i am also building the heller le superbe at the same time. i must be an idiot or someone who loves their ships. i would say the latter!
