Well I had to make some adjustments here. While researching Hoffmans sortie from LeHavre for markings, it turns out the Cdr Hoffman lead Torpedoboote, a much larger nearly destroyer sized vessel, rather than Schnellboote. So I now have to adjust marking choices. I have decided to model S-188, a boat of the 4th Flotilla, since I like their stalking panther unit marking. I know s-188 did see some action based upon this photo of her with battle damage after returning to port from a sortie on the night of June 7/8. (Mike, I can also see the darkened Tir Firness wood decks in this photo)
anyways, S-188 would be lost on June 14, along with many other Kriegsmarine vessels during a heavy RAF daylight raid on La Havre to neutralize the problem. Today I airbrushed on a final coat of MM Schnellboot Weiss on teh up[per hull sides and let that dry After giving that time to dry, I then glued the upper and lower hulls together Next up, a coat of Future, then I can begin decals, washes, etc.

Yesterday I airbrushed on a coat of Future
Decals applied today... in case you are wondering, the Flotilla Panther is from the kit decals, but the commanders initials are cut apart, letter by letter, from 1/35 ammunition stencils from a Dragon figure set to get an idea how small this stuff is, here is a US Nickle for comparison

wow that is tiny and it would probably about vanish if you put it next to a 1/350 Bismark
Clint
Even next to my 1/350 Graf Spee it is dwarfed...
Dang Stik, that puppy is small. How ever did you build it, let alone cutting out the commander's initials? My hat is off to you sir.
Steve
Building was easy enough... it's everything that came afterwards where the challenges started adding up...
Boy, is that an understatement!
LOL! Thanks ;-)

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
Thank you sir... just a bit more to finish up here....
I finally made some near final progress on my Schnellboot today. Washes and tints applied and cleaned up...
Tomorrows plan is flat coat, drybrushing, and call this one done...
Ok. I am calling this one done...
I present Bronco's 1/350 S-100 Class Schnellboot
comments and critiques welcome...
Very nice, love the detail. I have the same model and feeling that I need to stop my present project and knock this one out.
Thank you Marcus. It is a fun little kit to build. I look forward to seeing yours on here.
WOW! real nice.
Thank you

Do you have a reference for the Tir Firness non-skid coating on S-boote? I cannot find anything.

Ludwig, I personally do not. I only went off what another member said here, earlier in the thread. But based off of his statement, what I had read about Tir Firness on U-Boats, and the photos I was able to dig up showing that the wood areas were quite dark from some sort of wood stain, it all made sense and I went with it.
