Amazing research and detail!
I wasn't able to go to the memorial when I went to Pearl Harbor a few years back, but I was able to see it from the deck of the Missouri.
I needed to make larger bollards for the Arizona. I had planned to cast duplicates from a scratch built bollard, but I decided to just build them assemble line style.
Now I just need to glue them together.
your shipmate,
Ziggy
I got the bollards done on the aft deck.
Working on the base.
I started working the Arizona again,
Cut the base to fit the model and did a rough water depth, also I modified some PVC fittings to add detail to the turret 'holes'
Thats coming along nicely. I like what you are doing.
Glad to see you back at it, this is an amazing project.

Hey You!
It's nice to see someone doing it like I do! Your project is coming along nicely!
Thanks everyone for the kind words and shown interest, I will post more updates
nice to see you back on this , looking forward to the rest .
The Arizona looks very different with some black primer on her, I still have to work on the forward decks
I have not given up on this build, however, I have added a new wrinkle.
I have decided to build this diorama as a 'Before the Attack' and 'The Arizona Today' diorama!
So, my wife gave me the green light to buy another Revell kit.
The 'Today' will look like this
The 'Before' wil look like this captured Japanese photo
I will need to scratch build the Vestal from plans and this photo of 1/350 resin kit
as you are doing the pre-attacked & the memorial versions, why not do the attacked version before all masts, stack & deck clutter was removed? if you want to go a bit wild at it but not like me with my OBB/s, why not do all the various versions since she was built?
