Went to the Wings, Wheels, and Keels show in Venice, Florida yesterday.  Great show.  Some awesome builds for sure!

Picked up some Bandai kits my kids wanted....really, they did.  O.K., dad builds them, but they DID want them.  LOL!

Real G

Gamera, check these out:

https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=102&cat=&state=&sold=0&sortid=0&searchkey=Megami+device

The Japanese seem to have some kind of fixation with weaponized girls!

I have to confess to buying one, just for giggles:

https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10443958

She looks like any other Gunpla-type kit, just with makeup!

Those are really cool, a bit on the expensive side though. The kit I bought was less than twenty bucks. Of course it's nowhere as nice a kit. When get I around to building this one I'll have to give these Kotobukiya a look again.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Some stuff I pre-ordered from HLJ came in:

A couple of figures, 1/35th I want to use with armour and a 1/24th I want to pair with an old pick-up truck.

And now with the 'Egg GB' coming up I'm having second thoughts on my entry, I really want to start this one.

And this one. I have no idea what she's supposed to be, it was in the Gundam section but it was so cool I had to pick it up.

Ok. I am very impressed with the cast texture on the mantlet and mount plus the rolled steel armour texture!

I usually do it anyway as part of my build process.

Would you like me to photograph the contents of both Panther kits that I have and post them in the Amour section?

James, thanks for the offer but Armorama has a complete set of sprue shots.

  Anyway, the pod gets put aside for now so I can work on the several GBs I joined plus the K'tinga.

On a good note, I did find those Fumiji beetles in Japan. I'm waiting until after the first to pull the trigger!

And yes, the hull can actually enclose my big, fat head, which is no small feat!  (Yes, big head, not small feet.)

Ok, I'm REALLY done now.  I have to stop faffing around and work on sometning!

LOL! I agree that is big! The pod, not your head! Thanks for the laugh!

LOL G, you're reminding me of Ro-Man the Robot Monster...

James: Looks awesome, I haven't picked up any of the Rye Field kits but I keep hearing so much good stuff about them.

Just arrived today by our postie.

It is a big box and stuffed full of plastic, but no metal gun barrel or side skirts. Initial inspection over a cuppa shows me that the full interior is complete and accurate and the only thing is to try and find a replacement metal barrel and tracks. There is a mix of sprues with some labelled Panther and others labelled Jagdpanther and a look through the build manual shows lots of alternative parts. The roof plate is crystal clear which means that you can see down into the fighting compartment.

This build, once it gets onto my bench is going to be a complex one but will look good and I will have to play with some of the upper hull components to work out if I can do any other display options.

James,

That looks like a really nice kit of the Jagdpanther.

 On the bench:  1/48 Eduard MiG-21MF

The Moebius 2001 EVA pod is so big, I need more space.  I'd better suit up...

Ok, OK, stopping here for real.  Honest.

I think buyer's remorse will set in some time during construction, when the hull halves are joined.  (I already tried it on, and it fits over my head!)  Anyway, the pod gets put aside for now so I can work on the several GBs I joined plus the K'tinga.

With so much cool stuff coming down the pipeline, I gotta clean house to make room!

https://flic.kr/p/dNsviD] [/url]Fuhrer in die haus! by N.T. Izumi, on Flickr

Or ist zat "haus"?

Although not a recent acquisition, Der Fuhrer is a hilariously un-PC, 12" action figure that I found in Japan in the 1990's.  His vacuum cleaner (an odd Christmas stocking stuffer) is an allegedly functional mini-vac that plugs into a USB port.  It basically makes noise and does nothing else.  Try marketing this figure today; it was supposed to be part of a line of infamous personalities from WW II (Goering, Stalin, etc).  I never did see any of his cohorts hit the streets though.

I just hope I don't get investigated for something, as finding a Hitler doll in my house would not look good in court documents!

Maybe I should have trotted out the Dave Bowman 12" figure (actually it was just the suit - I had to source a body and head myself) instead.  A space suit is much better able to handle a vacuum.

Okay I'm stopping there.

Steve, Chad, Joe,

Thanks! I've already started acquiring PE for some of these kits! lol

@Chad,

That Squadron catalog is a fantastic find! And I've always been a fan of Isaac Asimov.

@Real,

Now that is a cool kit. I just seen it the other day, and I checked Tenacontrols only has a kit out for the Discovery...

@Drums,

I like that Man in Space Collection, very nice!

@GreySnake,

I hope the yard work doesn't take too much of your time. I'd like to see both of those kits built!

Couple more for the stash.

One day I'll get some time to build something. Yard work is eating into my free time right now. Trying to get as much done before Arizona becomes an oven.
