Really looking forward to it! Almost ready for paint on my current build (P51 Mustang). Would love to squeeze another in before the GB starts. Originally I said I wanted to do a "pain free" build for this GB but after all this inspiration I may try to up my game a little bit....sink or swim ooor maybe crash and burnWink  Time will tell!

Bish... Congrats on your Darth Vader! Very menacing looking... one of my all time favorite villans, possibly second only to JASON!

Thanks buddy, I am really chuffed with it, especially as its my first large scale figure.

Don't listen to 'em Stang. I say Ya'll and am in Texas as well Cowboy. I take a bit of time off between cattle drives and managing my chuck wagon business to gnash together some folksy wisdom on the bench. Yee Haw! Oh, and Orfy, it's some those Brits, Austrians and Germans on here you really gotta look out for! Devil

Austrians? Hmm, sounds familiar... I guess I'm ze Austrian in question here? Whistling

There's no need to blame me for everything though! I swear I'm innocent! Ze only thing I'm guilty of is having an Austrian accent! And maybe having a wierd urge to hoard 190 kits. I'm still blaming Joe for that one though!

Those Brits on the other hand really are dangerous people to be spending time with. They make people like me speak proper English faster than you'd think! Wink

Look at it this way. We have about two months to go until December and that month is gonna fly. I'm currently building a Corsair for a friend of mine and hopefully I have that thing finished by the time Christmas gets here.

Good point. I find that I work better under a deadline. My inherent procrastination is clarified that way. For me, my deadline for my Stuka is Jan. 1.  I'll reward myself by building 109's, so it's a win-win Yes

OK Joe... I've kinda sorta made a choice as to a first build... It will be a 1/32 MatchBox Bf109-E4 of II/Jg54, Balkans campaign, 1941. Likely yellow 10 or white 11, still reading up on that. Was looking at Chevron and bar 5 of Leut Steidle Winkel but appears as if that ones been done to death.

By the way, the show went well yesterday, about 60 entrants with over 250 models on display. In the Propeller driven aircraft, I took 1st place with my first STUKA build "Norway 1940" in Bish's STUKA GB, and the Bf109-G10 got Best in class for the same classing. Will post pictures later today. Thanks,

Doug

Shrink down a real one! LOL... Any way Thanks again and Believe me I got alot from our relationship on the forum here and learn something from each!

Take care...

Doug

Well we've got about two and a half months to the start date folks. I'm still gathering AM parts and reference for my C variant which I may very well start off with after I finish this Corsair that I'm building. Note to self," Never buy another Revell Corsair ever again..........Tamiya, Tamiya , Tamiya!!" lol

I got my engine out the other day and checked through to make sure I have everything. It does list a range of wire needed for the pipework and wiring. It does supply most of it, but the couple of bits it doesn't supply don't appear on the instructions, so I am going to check it again to make sure I have everything ready for jan 1st.

Thanks Joe, I am really looking forward to doing it and already have a plan for how I will build it. I think those extra bits of wire might be for other kits and that's a generic part of the instructions. Its pretty god that they enclose all I need and it seemed odd that they would have missed out those bits of wire. I'll post a pic of the box contents on the GB thread once its up and running.

Lol, I said the exact same thing myself after building that kit!

Anyway, count me in for this GB. My shelf is crying out for a 109. Smile
