Thanks Clemens! This is going to be a great build like the 190s! I'm working on my weathering skills still and see others work and my jaw drops, but with me, I'm always afraid of going too far and the build becoming un believeable, but... I endever to perservere! LOL...

John, are you doing the markings on the box. I built that aircraft using an old hasegawa kit last year, so I will defiantly be looking forward to yours.

Hey gang.  I don't have the time to read the whole thread.  However, I'd like to know when does the 109 GB start?  I'm going to try like hell to finish my Hellcat for the Pacific Aviation GB by the end of the year.  I also joined the Century Series GB with a F-107.  So if I got time, I'd like to join in on the 109 GB.  I think I would learn so much during that build.  I have very little time, so if I finish one or two kits a year, I'm lucky.  Thanks.

Craig,

I believe it starts in January,

Looks like some of the guys already answered your question. If youre not finished witht the Hellcat by January you can always join in during the GB anytime as it lasts for one year (unless it gets away from me like the Butcher Bird GB did and it would HAVE to get extended!! LOL).

Ok fellas. When the time comes for the GB to start we'll now have two GB badges to choose from. They are both awesome GB badges so you'll have your choice to choose from.

Bish's Badge:

and Jacks *jgeratic) Badge:

It's just fitting to have awesome  badges for a 109 GB. Thank you both for your great contributions to this project we have upcoming.

Those really are some awesome lookin' badges!

Just a little thing that's bothering me: "Messerschmitt" seems to be written with only one "T" instead of two on the 2nd badge. Is it still possible to fix that? The badge still looks great with that little mistake though...

hi Bish, great looking badge, and cool use of that logo.   I'm not all that familiar with it, so for me anyway, makes your design very unique.

--------------------------------------------

Thanks everyone, and thanks for pointing out the spelling error.  I thought  it was just the elements overlapping and obscuring the second 't', but it was a boo-boo on my part. Embarrassed

Got her fixed up now, and also shifted the shadow to the right side of the lettering to help set it apart from the eagle on the pilot's badge.

regards,

Jack

You and me both. I really need to use my imagination more for my badges, jack's is brilliant.

Jack, that is the official company logo. I have managed to dig up the logo's of most of the German aircraft makers and use them on the folders on my computer that I store my model pics in.

I really like how you have incorporated GB into the badge with the Eagle, that's a great idea.

I have a suspicion that I'll be spending nearly as much time choosing a kit as I will building it! Wink So glad I have a few months to make up my mind.
