Ok guys, All the pics are on my PC and most of the aircraft ones are sorted too, but I'm too damn tired to post anything right now. I guess I'll just go to bed and get your pics uploaded tomorrow morning (10 AM or something like that lol)

Damn, that was a long upload, but I finally got the pics uploaded to Google Drive!

I'll just post the links to the folders if you don't mind (I'll eventually get all the folders up there, but it's gonna take time)

So here's the B-17 folder:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByU5R53OgkgWUWg1eGkyYm8zXzQ&usp=sharing

I got some close-up pics of the landing gear as well as rear fuselage interior shots and a few of the ball turret thanks to the Chief Engineer at the RAF museum in London. He took me under her and opened up the turret for me Big Smile

And here's your surprise, Joe:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByU5R53OgkgWVFd0S1Nza2d1UlU&usp=sharing

Bish was right about Duxford not having a 262, but the RAF museum did have one! I hope you like the pics Wink

O, nice. I really need to get back to Hendon, I haven't been there since the early 80's. Going to have fun looking through those. Might I suggest posting all this in the aircraft forum or maybe the reference material one. I am sure many others will find this useful.

And I have just remembered, my other half is away next weekend. I might just have to pop down to London for the day.

I'll get them all up in the right section as soon as I got all the folders uploadeed. Each folder takes at least 30 mins to upload...

Those are outstanding Clemens. Thank You for taking the time to share those with us all. Nice quality photos by the way. I'm going to have to file the 262 pics for when I build the one in my stash.

I KNEW you'd say that!

Both are being uploaded right now buddy. I didn't get as many pics of them as i got of the 262 and B-17 though because they are airworthy aircraft so no running around below them Stick out tongue

Sorry. It's just that..well..you know.. I get a little excitable when it comes to those particular aircraft. Thank You very much for taking the time and effort Clemens. I feel bad that my camera went south on me while   at the museum in Everett, Wa. and that I was unable to get you a bunch more pics of the P-47. Especially while it was under going maintenance.

Those are great, Clemens. Thanks! I agree, a general posting somewhere would make these avail to more folk.

I have a dumb question.... is that the real, restored Memphis Belle??

PS, that 'Google Drive' looks rather handy, might have to check that out. Really like the format. Very clean and easy to navigate.

Nope it isnt. That B-17 (a -G) is "Sally B". She wears the Memphis Belle noseart on one side and Sally B on the other (she was converted to an -F to display the Belle in the according movie)

Greg, as SS says, the aircraft is the Sally B. It has carried the belle's nose art on the right side for many years. She is the last surviving airworthy B-17 in Europe. She has been based at Duxford for as long as I can remember, very fitting given the role of the B-17 in East Anglia in WW2. Now all we need is a B-24 to go with her.

After seeing Spartan's pics, I have decided to finally make a visit there myself. I have ben saying I will go for a few years. But next weekend my other half is away with her horsey friends for the weekend, so hopefully I will be going down to Hendon and then onto the IWM in London which has just had a major make over.

I had a brief look at the IWM when I was in London and I was kinda disappointed TBH. It sure is a nice museum, but the RAF museum and Duxford are much more to my liking...

Do you guys know anything about a company called "Scale Master"? I found the old Monogram B-24J on ebay for a good price and I'd like to build her as "The dragon and his tail". I know superscale did a set of decals for that bird years ago, but those decals are impossible to get hold of. I did however find a set made by Scale Master. The only problem with said Decals is that I know nothing about the company and can't find any reviews on the net either. Any input on them would be great.

I maybe could get me some custom decals printed, but I don't know anyone that offers such a service (especially for the complex kind of sheet I'm looking for) so any info regarding that could help me out too...

In case you don''t know the aircraft I'm talking about:

Never heard of Scale Master, Clemens. Maybe you should post a general question somewhere so it gets more attention. Not a lot of folks hanging around here waiting on us late builders.

Hey BlackDog, there are two more of us late that Mustang is being patient with, so don't worry. Sounds like you'll finish before me.

We'd be happy to walk you through the pic posting again if you want. We are very patient.

1. Post pic on hosting site, like photobucket or Flikr or something.

2. Copy the direct link from your hosting site

3. In your reply here, click "Use rich formatting", when the cursor is where you want your pic to go, click the little computer screen up top of the rich format reply box, paste what you copied, press 'insert'.

4. Done.

Well I ordered them anyway. The website I got em from is called "Rare Plane Detective" and they offer some really nice gems at pretty fair prices. I saw an Accurate Miniatures SBD-5 on there for only 27$ and I had to have it (the only USN aircraft that was really missing in my stash), so I simply ordered the decals together with it. The cheapest reboxing (Italeri) of this kit at Hannants costs 36£ (61$) and the original AM boxing is 45£ (76&) so I'm calling this a pretty good deal Smile

We are actually 3 guys being late, mate. I'm still here and still plugging away at my 190s... Progress is slow though because I have to do everything multiple times with a lot of the 190s being Eduard kits...

Bow Down     ......bowing to our patient host, Mustang Joe.......

Blackdog, if your paste button is greyed out, usually means your clipboard is empty. So my guess is the image didn't copy correctly from your image hosting site. I can't remember which you use?

And yep, I"m still on that Eduard kit. Good memory, BD.
