Thanks again. Definitely stands out in the display
I've been a little MIA for a while and slowly catching up.
That hornet turned out great with some unique markings!
Thanks. The markings are a 60th anniversary special. They are the alternate markings in the kits box. Blue Angels is the box art markings
TP, yea that turned out real nice. I'm not familiar with the markings either - some anniversary special? Grats on getting her done.
regards,
Jack
Nice work on that decal Johnny, it's a great scheme.
I've decided to make my entry in the Trainer GB another Canadian Chipmunk. It should sit well with the one I did here. It's similar (yellow), but without the dayglo red patches.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

That one is a standout - great choice of markings!

I'll be watching for that!
WOW!!! Great job getting those markings down! I can't say I've ever seen that one!
I finished the hornet last weekend. Forgot to take pics and just arrived in sunny Florida for a much needed vacation. Will post pics when I get back next week. John
Plenty to add here, A CF-104, another Chippie, a Sea Fury etc....lots of choices when part II kicks off.
Cdn Colin I've got a Husky AVGP on tap.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.
Have fun.
Hope you all don't mind me asking for a couple more days. Was going to have the F-18 done today, but my trucks radiator decided to let go last night. Spent most of the day putting it back together. John
I think this qualifies as Canadian. He he. Will get more done soon
I'm cutting this close. Decaling starts tonight. Some pics to follow. John
I did up the markings for the 13th RCA from the 3rd Inf Div. Based in the armoured acorn site.
I'll grab a pic later today, but I found the unit decal turned out fine but the divisional one wasn't as crisp as I would have liked it. At 1/72 I couldn't get that picky though
hey Chris, that Priest looks great! You managed to pack a lot of weathering on that little guy, but I think it works, has that well used look.
Didn't you do some research for the markings, are they still to be put on?
I think I'm calling mine done, well good enough.
I sprayed it with future, added an india ink wash, followed by a poor attempt as a rust wash finally some brown pastels.
Seems to have created a white wash from the india ink wash but as I found with my 88 I was working on the more I fiddle the woprse it got so I'm leaving it as is.
Andrew, tempestjohnny and checkmateking02, thanks for those kind words.
