Do you want us to post the ace/aircraft pictures and profile on this thread or the one that will be created on the December 7th?

aw nutz ... might have to scratch the idea about the home made decals because you need the specific boxing below for the 'Barraca' signature decal on the nose:

Post them here for now. Then if I think of something better or if someone don't like it. I'll let everyone know. I can change the title.

They just seem to take up a lot of room.

Jack,

I'll just go with my second choice, Annoni. The decal sheet from Stomo also has decals for Drago in his G-55. If I can find a good 1/48 G-55 that doesn't cost a mint (to me) I may build his as well.

OR, I may just forget the whole Italian idea and go Japanese. Zero kits are a dime a dozen and I have 5 in my stash, but I probably won't. I still have a long while before I start this build to decide.

Thanks for all you help.

Steve

Steve, no problem with the help.

Yea, I've been considering Japan as well, and found this lovely sculpt on ebay.  Can't believe it was designed for the cockpits of RC planes:

Also in the running is possibly Finland, and maybe something Russian.  Lots of time still to choose before bringing this one to the bench.

Jack

There is a store on eBay named Pete's Pilots that sells several RC pilots in different scales. May be worth a look:  Here is the link

I believe this is where jgeratic found the Japanese pilot.

RC pilots are usually made of that rubber/plastic stuff and look like action figures, however some of those busts on that site actually look pretty good.  Huh?

One entrant here posted a link to Pete's Pilots. I was just looking through his stock and noticed some of his pilots come already painted. Please don't used them for our GB. I know some of you have mentioned you aren't that good at painting figures. Well, I'm not very good either. It's all I can do to get a fair paint job on these little guys.

Thanks

1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Vb Trop

George "Buzz" Beurling

1/9 scale custom made bust of Beurling

I am considering making a another one of Buerling's Spitfires for this GB, I will let you know.

Ideally, I'd like to display Beurling's bust with two of the planes he flew in the war.

Ken, morning, Happy New Year and thanks for running the GB . I'm in with my Hasegawa 1/48 G-2.

Will be done as a crossover with the Me 109 build.

Put me in for  1/48 Lindberg Republic P-47 Thunderbolt flown by Walter C. Beckham.

This is a real easy kit. I got it because it had two planes in it. Story in the other thread.

Heres the kit for the P-47 Little Demon that was flew by Maj. Walter Beckham from the 351st Fighter Squadron.

Looks easy but fun.

My apologies, the plane is a P-47D Bubbletop not the Razorback. The plane I will be building is the same kit but "Miss Fire"

Thanks Guys. My apologies for not being online for a few days. I've been in some major computer problems. Now, I bought a new laptop and It seems like I have to learn computers all over again. Been a lot changes happening with these things. But as usual I skipped over some of the Windows. I went from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1. I'll get everything updated again tomorrow. Ken
