Congratulations Caveman!  That is a fine looking Frogfoot you have there!

B_one fixer, a fine start indeed!

I would like in on this one if it's still open to join. I have an idea of what I'm going to build, but need to make sure I can do it in 48 hours so put me down for a TBD

Welcome to our merry band of modelling mayhem Josiah!  Will that be a divine scale TBD of the Airfix variety, or that strange scale Monogram classic?  I kid of course.  Just let me know, you basically have until the weekend before Christmas to get it done.  I look forward to your build.

Nice work.  I'm surprised that primer actually stuck to that chrome stuff so well, or did you strip it?

since was under the gun I had no time to soak it for striping off the chrome. I ended up giving it a light sanding with 1000grt to allow the primer to have some kind of bite. It worked well, the paint has not peeled up from masking.

I am calling this one DONE! 29 hrs later here is the finished product. Thanks to the fast drying time of acrylics ! I am usually a fast builder, but this is the fastest I have ever built a kit to date.

29 hours?   I needed every second.   Hats off to you.  Nice job.

Thanks, the reason for the fast finish was that the kit had maybe and that's a big maybe 30 pieces. It was probably less. That was a big factor. If I were doing a frogfoot I am pretty sure I would not even be halfway done by this time.

Congratulations B_one!  Job well done!  Which pic would you like me to use for the front page?

Caveman, which pic would you like me to use for yours?

Any objections to trying to do another?  I may be able to try again in a few weeks.

Roger that b_one, I like the one with the spinning prop.

Caveman, build as many as you like within the time frame.  I'm planning to do at least two.  I look forward to your future builds and pics of the Frogfoot.

Not that my opinion counts, but I really like the one with the spinning prop also.

Well.... I guess I'll throw my Lindberg 1/25 Dodge Dakota Sport into the ring. I'll probably start it tomorrow morning.

I'd like to start my Seafury Friday morning, however I may need to work on the house main waterline. It froze during this last cold snap and I need to move it to a "warmer" place in the house, not right against the foundation stem wall. I am going to see how much a plumber will charge to move it for me. Depending on that, I may do it myself.

Bla, bla, bla, long story short, I may or may not start Friday or Saturday, Ill keep you posted.

Ok, I'm going to try this weekend starting Sat morning. We'll see how it goes. My wife wants me to go see the decorated Christmas trees "Festival of Trees" in downtown Boise Saturday, so we'll have to make it a fast trip.

Good luck Steve, I'm still trying to find a kit to start.  Everything I have now is fairly large and complicated.  Not sure I want to attempt to tackle a 1/48 jet fighter or helo on a 48-hour build.

Sorry, offline for a few days.

Caveman, excellent work on the camo. Like the frog with a hammer, agree that it had to go on regardless of the scheme. Knew we could count on you...

B_one - 29 hours? Any faster and the stewards will be calling for a blood test... A great result, and yes, another vote for the spinning prop.

Ok, I suddenly need to get this knocked out. I will be starting today at 1 PM. I will be building a Hasegawa 1/72 Yak-3. I will attempt to do both planes from the kit, but I will get one done as a priority and try to work in the 2nd as I go. I will post pics as soon as I begin and as I go. Wish me luck. 8 ball
