Hey Doug, thats a fine looking T-Bolt you've built!  I like the yellow trim, never seen one like that before. Sorry to hear about your health and internet issues, hopefully we'll get to see more of your work here again soon!

Thank you bufflehead. I think that the 507th 463rd used the yellow markings. I did not do to much research while doing this plane, it was a spur of the moment build.

Your T-34 is looking great. I have not done a Russian tank before but want to get one.

Hey Bish,

Is this to far along to be in the group build? It was started by my other grandson who also never finished. Lindberg 1/48 AM6 Zero.

No, I think that's ok Doug, especially as its one your grandson started. My grandson is only a couple of months old, but he is coming round ours for the first time in a couple of weeks. I think I will start him off early and introduce him to the joys of plastic.

Here is my try at pre-shading. Not much for the first time but I can live with it.

That's better than mine, I can't get the hang of pre shading, so I just stick to post shading.

I could not get the airbrush to work right. I may have not had the paint right also. I have seen your work Bish and I have to say that  it is a lot better than mine. I'm still learning.

Yep it is the old Lindberg kit. Not much to it. No cockpit detail what so ever, just the seat and pilot which is a joke to me because Lindberg could have done better on him. (pilot)

More update photos coming soon. (Like today.) LOL.

Looking good Nomad!

So i don;t have any pics but i have run into a tiny snag, the bed for the 6x6 is slightly warped front to back (concave so the side's don't sit flush front to back.) anyone have a tip to fix this before i attempt to hulk bend it...lol?

Thanks Dave fir the comment.

Not an expert but maybe use hot water to soften the plastic and put some weight on the part to hold it into the right shape.

Woo Hoo! Lots of great stuff going on here to catch up on.

Doug: Love what you have done with the Lindberg P-47 and what you are currently doing wi the Zero. Really nice work on such spartan kits. You definitely give them some life. I am very sorry to hear that you have to give up your internet. You will be sorely missed. I pray all gets sorted out and that you back with us toot sweet. Godspeed my friend.

Ernest: Sweet PE work on the T-34. Definitely adds to the realism.

Eric: Wow! Now that is some really excellent effort on your dio. As always, your attention to detail is absolutely top notch. It appears to me that everything turned out magnifico! Thanks for the detailed step by step. It is appreciated and immensely useful.

Dave: Certainly some very fine progress coming out of your camp. The Deuce and a half is turning out very nicely. As far as the warp issue goes, I concur that hot water should do the trick. Just be careful as I do not wish to see you meet with the same fate as my P-47.Tongue Tied

Bish: Are you getting a handle on all your issues with the new format? I have yet to find any problems. Yet.

As for me, well, I'm making slow progress. I've been painting the details in the cockpit and hopefully will have some progress to show here in the very near future. Hopefully I'll be upping my bench time here right directly as I'm getting the upper hand on our bountiful weed crop. That's the price I pay for having neglected an acre of desert landscape for a year coupled with an unusually wet spring and summer.

This has indeed been an excellent GB. Lots of really outstanding talent and wonderful subjects. Thanks Bish and Stik.

If you go to page 35 of the GB I posted a pic of how my attempt at taking the warp out of the left side of the fuselage went askew on me.

Joe, no, still the same this morning. I imagine some of it must be my end, such as not seeing sig images and not being able to quote. But i have no idea what todo about it. I'm sure it will get sorted in time.

Saw the turned up tail... yikes! Good thing for spares...lol

I made a bit more progress today, turns out the warping wasn't as bad as i had thought :)

I also began detailing the interior a bit more and got a few more things built.

Thanks Joe,

You are right about the Lindberg kits in that they are sparce with parts. I just used what I had and some left over decals and photos of the plane and went to town with it.

I am having problems with the canopy. The one that came with the kit is lost or got broken so I am using a vacuform one that is hard to handle. I just can not get it to fit right on one side. I will get I will get it figured out.

Not sure if I like the new format here. Where is the spell check? I use that a lot.

Great work everyone. there is a lot of really great looking builds going on.

Glad to hear that the warping was not an issue for you and that you moving forward. Nice progress by the way, especially on your seat. I like that. Did you dry brush that for the effect?

Thanks Joe!

The seat was done with a dark brown, then a even darker wash , then i used slightly thinned lighter brown to do the edging,  (i still need to blend some of it) it's a technique i developed when i painted gaming miniatures. dry brushing is acceptible as well but i find i have more control like this :)

Well I guess I gonna call the AM6 Zero done. I like most of it but the canopy is what I do not like. This is the first time I nhave worked with a Vacuform.

Hope you like it.

WOW Doug, that was a quickbuild. I rather like it, and the canopy looks just fine to me. I know those vacform canopies can be tricky. Thanks for joinin in, i hope you will stick around for the rest of the GB.

Thanks Bish.

Greentracker98:  Nice looking figure set.

Thanks Bufflehead

Thanks Joe Rix.

Thanks BrandonD

Nomad53: I think your P47D turned out great!  Along with your AM6 Zero, lookin' good.

Bufflehead: The T-34 is coming together great,  Looks like the Dragon kit goes together well.

EBergerud: Excellent job on your JS2 and the diorama,  looks like your JS2 has been through a tough winter on the Russian front.

TigerEP1: Looks like a nice start to your cargo truck, I think you should be able to paint your truck with using spray cans.  I used a circle templet on the wheels.

Been making more progess on the Sherman, painted the inside flat white.  Glued on the front and side fenders.  The turrent went together some what good, also will be using Dragons Tank Crew (NW Europe 1944).  There dressed in winter cloths.  Also to note some parts have injecter pin marks that need to be removed or filled in.  But this Tamiya rebox of Tasca's Easy Eight is turning out great.
