Ok guys, the moment you have all been waiting for, the Osprey is finally finished. (About bloody time i hear you all say )

The chocks i was going to get from Hannants have been out of stock for a while now, so i decided to bite the bullet and get another of the Hasegawa ground equipment sets. Thats now 4 i have and all chockless. Looks like i am going to have to build some more modern USAF aircraft and use some of those kits.

I kept the dio nice and simple, just the 4 crew about to board. I just wanted a nice simple one, but mainly, there was no way on earth i was going to paint that USMC camo on the ground crew in this scale. I ain't that mad. I used one Hase figure and the other 3 are from the Revell set, pretty nice figures.

And there you have it. Thanks for running the GB, been some really nice work in here so far, and really pleased to have had the chance to build this.

And now i have had to put my Arado to one side while i try and get hold of some.....

Yep, you guessed it, figures, this is a real lesson to stock up while i can. 72nd aircrew figures are the bain of my modelling life. Why do we do this to ourselves, why i ask, WHY.

That is gorgeous! The only Osprey I ever built was a tiny 1/2400 version I hand-carved 20+ years ago for some naval wargaming. I don't build too many modern aircraft anymore, but the concept of the Osprey is so foreign to me and so interesting that I have been tempted.

That said, I doubt I could come close to the artistry of your model.

Jack, this is one of those Verlinden ready made bases. I normally do my own but just wanted to use this up.

Hand carved, wow, that must have been amost just a splinter in that scale. I don't do modern stuff that often, though i do have a few modern US kits. The Osprey is a strange concept. I live not that far away from RAF Mildenhall where the USAF has some based and i have seen them flying low a few times. they are loud buggers and pretty impressive to see flying.

Scott I LOVE how the B-17F came out. Have you seen the one they recovered from some jungle in the south pacific and is now on display in Hawaii? I beleive they are going to leave it in unrestored "as found" condition.

Steve, that is an ambitious project! One I will be following! but if anybody can do it, its a guy who can HAND CARVE something in 1/2400(!!!) scale!!!

Calling her done.  To recap, this is AZmodel's 72nd scale Boeing P-26.  Brengun PE detail was added (mainly intererior), and resin Wasp engine from RADIAL ENGINES &WHEELS. Thank you Steve, for hosting this one.

There is no perfect build, at least not from me, but always striving.  This one should of been done almost 3 weeks ago, but kept having trouble with a pristine finish.  Like any author of these plastic creations, only they know where the warts and blemishes are.

Wow. Beautiful work Jack... I have yet to put any of the wire rigging on my builds, I always seem to break that damn little "antenna(?)/Rigging post" on the tops of my planes. I have yet to build a biplane or anyhting like your P-26 with all that rigging.... I DID buy some EZ-line from the hobby shop however.....  GREAT WORK! Very inspiring.

I finished dull-coating my plane and parts this weekend, just need to put the cowlings and props on, little antennas, and remove the EZ-masks on the greenhouse... And put some hooks in the ceiling to hang this beast! 1:48 B-29..... nearly 36" wingspan(!!!)

Thats why i used some wire on my German Nuke. Don't want any unexpected atomic explosions in the house.

I can definatly see where Kora and Anteras got there ideas from for their German bombs.

Terribly sorry for the last couple weeks.  Still trying to get setup in the new house.

Well, the Boeing 1 is started, such as it is. Just plans and planning so far, with some experimental work on the first serious problem. I've started a Building Log in the Airliners and Civil section, and except for the occasional major progress will keep everything there.

Understood Steve, I frequently do the same.
