Toshi, looking good and glad everything is fitting. I was at Hobby Lobby, thought of you and had one of those Tamiya building stand things in my hands. I'm in a very cheap frame of mind right now so maybe next time. But I keep seeing how much use you get from yours.

When it's time to mask the canopy and such, please show your techique. This is something that continues to drive me batty.

Bish-if it's not too late to join up, I'd like to dive in-1/48 Tamiya RAF Mustang III, No. 112 Squadron-There's just something about the shark mouth on a Mustang.....hopefully the Tamiya decals will cooperate.

It's also going to be my first build using Vallejo Model Air....and my first build in quite a while

Assembly #18 &19

I'be built Tamiya's 1/32 Corasair, Mustang, Spitfire, and Zero.  They all had moveable elevators with metal pins allowing it to move, in which the modeler wanted to pose it in. 

With the Mosquito build, that option is devoid.  Although they are poseable, they do not move.  You must choose one or the other.

I finished the chipping and received my AB back from Badger last night. They replaced the needle bearing, no charge. It's so nice to have it back. I sprayed the hinomarus and rudder with it...so nice.

Next are the decals I believe.

Hmm, I did those steps exactly as you mentioned, except my photos were uploaded to Pinterest.  Does Pinterest not count as an image-hosting site?  Because I loaded them into a shared album,and I can see lots of other folks' images shared on Pinterest, so I don't understand...

I think Armor_Aficionado linked the web pages instead of the actual photos he had over at Pinterest?   Image files should have an extension to them indicating they are photos, such as jpg.

I use Pinterest to organise the reference photos that  I find on the web, I find it's fantastic for that, but  I haven't used it as an image hosting site.

Toshi, I'm loving your Mossie, nice work.

I've built that Tamiya Mustang III kit. It's possible the best fitting aircraft kit that I've built.

At the other end of the scale is my ICM Spitfire VII, which is progressing, despite generally very poor fit. Here it is with the fuselage halves joined and the seams all tidied up, and some photos of the kit cockpit, which is quite nicely detailed. All I've added are some Extratech etched harnesses that  I had in the stash. My plan is to close up the canopy, so I know that most of this detail won't be seen anyway.

Bob, deffinetly not to late, great to have a Mustang in the group. I just googled it and those aircraft do look nice in those colours with the sharks mouth. Will add you to the roster.

O ye, thats really nice. You have captured the look of that perfectly Steve. Really nice job on the chipping.

Tony, nice work on the Spit, i have never build an ICM kit, you seem to be getting to grips with it. Can see the work your putting into it.

Armor, i know it can be a pain untilyou get used to it. Asjack says it should work though, no different to taking any pic off the net.

Coming along nicely on the Mossie Toshi.

Bob, got you and your Stang added to the roster.

I was having a look to do that jack but when i scroll down i get this big message blcoking me, probably because i am not signed up. I did get this one at the top of the page of Armors pars after a bath.

I think that was all of them armor.

Check, just to jump in. The lower trailer is a starter trolley the top one looks like an oil cart.

Armor, they look rather nice, where did you get those from.

Ah ok, I didn't respond because I was thinking you'd just posted them as test photos to show AA how the forum works. 

Odd, the links he posted worked yesterday, but today my virus protection program is blocking access to those specific Pinterest pages, saying they are dangerous.
