Yeah, I have the PS2 version. PRobably no where near the Computer version, but then again I spend to much time using the compter as it is!

The Sherman is progressing nicely-almost too nicely. Spent a lot of time doing a black wash, weathering with pastels, painting the various tools (shovel, axe, etc.) only to have to do the "white wash". I ended up mixing some white acrylic with a little grey & some water. Will post pics once I quit fighting with the camera/software.

It was a good reminder that the equipment was never in the 'perfect' condition that I used to build as a kid. After reviewing pictures of tanks in the battle, I feel a little better about the white paint. This whole armor thing has been very challenging. And fun.

yes, armor is funWink [;)]
I got more work done this weekend thant I expected to. Got the whole dio base and snow, trees foot prints, all done. I also, after a big debate with my self, covered the tank with a ton of snow. And, its still wet right now, so I am kinda nervous on how it will come out. looks good wet?! All that is left is to cover some styrofoam with plaster and finish the figs.

Finally had some (limited) success with the camera-pics below.

Hopefully I can upgrade the camera soon to get close-up shots. Next step is to finish mounting the extra treads, road wheels, gas cans, etc. and try my hand at making a tarp.

Yes I do-picking up a lot of good tips, having dialog with some good people, researching & learning some history. I actually went out of my way to find a plane to join the Battle of Britian GB-very interesting & knowledgeble group-much like this one!

i have but i dont work out much LOL
i got the wood for the base, got branches for trees, (im gonna have a fallen tree (ripped apart by a shell) and one thats ripped apart but still standing, i got a lot of branches but the tree still looks a bit bare, GOTTA GET MORE! and good think its winter cuz if it was summer id have to search through a sea of leaves to find good ones! im using DURHAM's water putty to sculpt the base but now i see its taking a long time cuz a lot of it doesnt cover so much.... i think ill get plaster or suMthin to finnish it..... the panther is really coming along the last pictures i took (last page) were from saturday and it really evolved from what it was!! i getting there!!
i think im gonna try something that i have never done with any of my builds.... since this is my first (actually finnished) dio ILL PAINT A PICTURE OF IT! SINCE, WELL, IM AN ARTIST, AND ITLL REALLY LOOK GREAT! AND I SHOULD POLISH MY SKILLS IN PAINTIN MILITARY THINGS CUZ I WOULD LOVE TO DO KIT BOX PAINTINGS......i have a dream!!! ILL POST IT WHEN IM DONE WITH IT!

Being that I'm basically a lazy individual at heart, does anyone have the link to the group badge and would you be so kind as to post it? I went searching thru the first 10 pages (and saw some good work) but gave up at that point.

Jason-thx for the post of the badge. btw, I finally found the poly bushings AFTER the build was complete-they were in bag that I had the decals.....sigh...

Saw your Sherman in the Pacific GB-looks good. I have an Accurate Min. SBD-2 waiting in the wings (no pun intended).

That's a great kit. Accurate makes fantastic models. I have 2 of their B-25s, the SBD-2 and their Avenger> Really nice and detailed. The B-25 actually has a little magazine to lay on the floor by the chemical toilet!! Thanks for the Sherman input. I want to get that one done, so I can finish this one. I am soooo behind

I'm looking forward to building it. Working on a Monogram He111 for the Battle of Britian GB. Once that one is done (maybe this month, maybe not) I can start on the Pacific GB with the SBD. That should get me till the end of March before I commit to any other GB's....maybe. btw, what type of camera are you using and how many megapix is it? I'm going to have to break down an get a decent digital camera. Just don't want to go the overkill route-save money for plastic!

Let me know if you had issues with the wings fitting to the fuselage. I always had to work to avoid a problem

IT's not to hard, but the first one I did, I ended up with a step between the wing and fuselage. Check into attaching the upper wing to the fuselage before hand and then add the bottom half of the wings. I thought I would try that on th next one I did. The only other "issue" is the side windows. I pre painted around them before I installed them, because I was afraid masking them would be a problem

Hi,

I am coming into this a bit late, but would be interested in entering a 120mm figure. What is the exact ending date for this build?

Thanks.

There would be Branches (which I believe you already got) rolled tarps, Camo netting placed on the vehicle, barrel or rolled up, Definetly would have jerry cans carrying gas and water, a spare road wheel or 2, and spare tracks, also might have some wooden crates on the back.

Hmm, no models to study for finals, I dont think soooooo.
I ve got a German and a Geometry final tommorrow. Didnt study, probably wont until about 9:00 tonightBlack Eye [B)]Dunce [D)]
I am all finished with the figs and dio, everything. But my snow came off a little yellow so I recovered it and I will spray it with some thinned glue instead of hairspray. Thats all I have to do.

I hope I am not out of line but I came across this Group build thing today and want to add my name. If I understand it correctly, a group build simply means as a groups, we all build some sort of kit an dat the end exchange pics and opinions(?)
Anyway, I am doing a Dragon Kingtiger, Henschel turret. I am planning on some scratch built interior work, probably just the shell racks and seats, but we'll see.
Please let me know if I am in the wrong or right. with my wanting to join the fray.

mattinhouston, welcome aboard. You are right about the GBs. Let me know how the Dragon one goes together. I am doing the Tamiya one myself.

Anyone happen to see the BAttle of the Bulge Special on the Military Channel. Pretty decent. They colorized a lot of old pics including the famous pic of King Tiger 222 carrying all those Fallschirmjagers. They will rerun it so check it out. I beleive it was BAttlefront
