Darren, after reading yours & darson's posts, I had to take another look at my Tamiya F-117 kit. You lads are correct....that thing is monsterous! Can't wait to see your build on one of your famous display bases. In fact, I can't wait to see everyone's build on this GB! This is quite a talented cast we've assembled. Am I getting ansty? You bet I am! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] Been checking out my 1/72 F-104G at least once a day, wondering how I'm going to fit all that resin into it! LOL!

C-130 HTTB and YMC-130 H Credible Sport
Posted by credible_sport on Friday, November 2, 2007 2:57 AM

I am building the HTTB and then I plan on building the  YMC-130 H Credible Sport C-130.

I own 5 Airfix C-130's 1 for parts to convert another one to the HTTB 1 Airfix AC-130 E, 2 Italerie AC-130A's 2 DC-130's 2 C130E's and 1 C-130J. I think that is all of them all 1/72 scale.

I plan to build each a a differnt version. EC-130E RR phase 1 EC-130E River Ryder Phase 2, EC-130H Rivert Fire, YMC-130 Credible Sport,  (I sell the Credible sport DVD if anyone is interested). Combat Talon I and II and otehr special mission birds.

I plan on using Falcon, Aero Model, Flght Path and Edward conversion kits.

I also own 3 P3C orions one as a special projects P3 P317 I workd on at Lockheed Ontario, 1 EP3E, and 1 P-3 STARS tracking aircraft used at Point Mugu.

How do I upload pictures of my project here?

Help.

Any other sugestions.

Thanks

Tim

The easiest way that I have found to post photos onto the forum, I use the following steps;

1) After taking your photos, upload them onto a Web based image hosting site (I use Photobucket {It is FREE} [www.photobucket.com])

2) After you have done that, you will see that each photo has a IMG link line.  You will want to copy that (you will have to do this for each photo, so using the latest version of Internet Explorer with the multiple tab pages is a big help).  The link will look something like this:

3) In your message, you will past each IMG link line in the order that you want {ie. - Type your message, then hit a line space, then past your first IMG link, then a line space, your next IMG link, and so on and so forth.

The photo(s) will remain linked to your post as long as you keep the photo(s) on Photobucket.

As far as getting the best photo(s) of your work, all I can say is trial & error with your digital camera.  Because every camera is different, what works for me, may not work for you.  The best part of a digital camera is that you can take a zillion photos, and delete all but 1 or 2 that you like.  Preview the photo(s) on your screen prior to uploading them onto Photobucket; that way you will get a good idea of what you got.

Got my P-38M ready to go!  Being a Monogram kit, not sure of how much fun the work will be.  Should push my skills and I am sure I will learn something new.

Dan, it will be a pleasure to have you and your son join our GB. You've both been added to the list. Thumbs Up [tup]

credible_sport, that's quite a list! I've added you to the entry list, but to be honest I'm not sure which of those subjects to include as your entry/entries.

I pulled out my P-38E today and cut the major parts off of the sprue.  One of the boom sides has an enormous curve to it, but I think the other side as well as the rear stabilizer will help pull and hold it in alignment.  Man, this puppy has some serious joints and gaps that will need to be filled!  Looks like I had better stock up on filler for this one.  What have I gotten my self into- no wonder you rarely see these at model shows...

Here are some progress pics for my F-16

Just some basic construction. No filling yet as there are more pieces to go on before I start the filling/sanding portion.

Looking good, Tom.

After seeing the F-16 demo at the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends this year, I'm thoroughly impressed with the F-16. What a cool looking bird. I'm looking forward to seeing your completed.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto], especially after test fitting my P-38 pieces.  One of the banannas I mean tail booms is so badly warped, it can almost reach all of the way over to the other one!

Which P-38 are you doing? Hopefully not the old Monogram one... I bought that for the WWII desert GB and immediately decided to find something else... that thing was scary

Actually, I am doing the Academy 1/48 P-38E.  I had both this one and the Hasegawa one, but decided to go with Academy as most write-ups say it's the BEST fitting one of the bunch!

I built one of those many moons ago, buddy. Turned out OK. I don't remember any warped parts, though. Is yours a re-release or one you've had kicking around for a while?

Mike,

I've had this one around for a few years.  Every time I pulled it outta the box and read about the fit problems, I broke into a sweat and put 'er back in the box.  But, no... not THIS time!

What?!?!??!? Nobody's doing a YF-12/SR-71?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I haven't decided yet, but I may join; I've got a YF-12A in a box that's about 25% done; I plan on swapping out the GAR-9's for a couple of first-generation SRAM's (there was a nuclear strike version of the F-12A on the drawing board in 1965 that would've been capable of launching SRAM's from 80K feet; imagine the range those things would've had!). I'll let you know if I'm stupid enough to join another GB!

1/48th Monogram A-37 Dragonfly: 95% (so close!); 1/35th Academy UH-60L: 90%; 1/35th Dragon "Ersatz" M10: 75%; 1/35th DML E-100 Super Heavy Tank: 100%; 1/48 YF-12A, 95%; 1/48 U-2R: 90%; 1/48 B-58 Hustler: 50%; 1/32 F-117, 50%; 1/48 Rafale M: 50%; 1/48 F-105D: 75%; 1/48 SOS A-1H Skyraider: 50%; 1/48th Hobby Boss Su-27: 50%; 1/16th Revell Lamborghini Countach: 75%; 1/12th Otaki Lamborghini Countach: 25%; Tamiya 1/35th M3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle: 25%

Mike, still haven't bought a kit for this one yet as I have not found the one I'm looking for but my LHS has a CF-104 that is calling my name.
