Greysnake, those look pretty cool. I've been thinking about some of those. Let us know how they are.

I have picked up a few new kits lately.

I did build a couple of wheel German armoured vehicles about 25/30 years ago, a couple of the old tamiya 4 wheeled kits. Those have long been lost and i decided it was about time i added some new wheeled armour kits to the stash, so i decided to start with this one from AFV. I like this as it reminds me of my favorite 251, the /9.

Gamera, Gecko Models is a pretty new company right now they are focusing on British subjects it seems.
I’ve been eying the British tankers since they popped up on eBay. By the time I decided to get them from Hong Kong Covid hit and of course brought shipping to a standstill. A US seller listed a box last week and I got them right away.

BK, those are some nice kits.

Bish, looking forward to seeing the 233 built.

Not sure when i will get to it, but i am looking forward to it.

Would be nice to see more British trops, especially from the cold war period. We have quite a few WW2 sets and are seeing a few from 2010 onwards, but in between is very sparse.

Hey no tracks/road-wheels - maybe an armor kit I could try ;)

A few gifts from my wife

A-10 GAU-8 round, certified casing was actually fired from an A-10

Really nice book from my father in law

And a remote control crocodile head/boat for the pool, because my wife knows I'm still 8 years old in my head

Thanks,

John

Cool stuff John

Like it all, especially the crock head. Just the sight of it would make someone fly out of the pool like a penguin

That simile paints an amusing mental picture, that's for sure!

I'm starting to understand why so much stuff is out of stock everywhere, you guys are buying it all (especially BK) Smile

Oh boy does that Honda 70 bring back memories, John. I had a 50, but my buddy had the 70.

I am duly impressed with everyone's latest prizes. Such wonderful stuff.

Bruce: That Yamato turret is absolutely boss. That should be a fun build.

Gamera: I like the Caddy. Cool as can be.

Greysnake: The Opel is a unique find. Nice!

BK: Woohoo! You've certainly been doing your due diligence on loading the stash.                   Outstanding choices. As you will soon see, I also scored a Cobra. Well done.

Bish: I was not aware that AFV did 8 wheelers. I am very interested to hear how they             are. Nice pick up.

Keavdog: You done well in your own right. Wonderful additions. I really like the Midget.

Soooo, I've recently lost my backbone. A complete loss of resistance to any deals or just desireable kits. As such, here is my latest haul.

A couple of kits that I've been wanting. Got the PT Boat from Scalehobbyist and the Nashorn was an FB auction score:

Then there are these ebay scores. I've always had a desire to get the Matador Stock Car. Just thought it was kinda cool. I got a second Opel GT so I could build both the stock version and the V6 rod.

Then there is this haul from a gentleman on a FB car model buy & sell group. Apparently, after watching the movie Ford vs Ferrari, he got an itch to build as many race cars from that time frame as he could. He purchased a number of kits for top dollar. In time, he lost the desire to build them and decided to unload them plus other kits he had. He was asking what he paid and as such, was not getting much traction. So, I stepped in with some negotiating and got a sweet deal on a lot of them. In short, I certainly added to my stable of GT40'sBig Smile

It appears that I am forced to post the remainder of my pics of this lot tomorrow as Postimage has decided to go south on me. Stay tuned.

They also have the 231, 232 and 263. First released in 2012. Be nice if they produced some 6 wheelers.

That is interesting to know Bish Thanks.

It appears that Postimage is cooperating this morning so, as promised, here is the remainder of the car model lot I obtained.

The Revell kit with Ken Miles Daytona win markings was what I was initially after. It is a rebox of the Fujimi kit and that is fine by me.

Been wanting a 427 shaleby Cobra. So, I filled that need.

And then some additonal coolness.

Joe, wow, another nice haul. All very cool, but the GT-40's...

Nothing special today.  Went to Hobby Lobby and picked up the F/A-18E and the A-10.  I now have 3 A-10's and five or six F-18's  Really can't get enough.  I got the Top Gun F/A-18E and not realizing until I got back to the camper that the F-16A is 1/72.  Oh well.  I'll put that together some day.  I got some paints and tools as my hobby room is three hours away and needed something to do while I am in transition of moving.

Arrived today - Vallejo Model Air Acrylics set for WWII British/BEF armour & vehicles, covering the early war period.  I'm building Tamiya's 1/35 Matilda Mk III/IV & wanted to do the UK-based version, but following the instructions' painting guide didn't look right.  A base coat of XF52 on the lower hull & running gear left it looking like a bar of milk chocolate & completely "un-tanky".  The set has all I'll need, and more besides - the future may hold some more BEF wheels & tracks!

Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Hi,

Here's a few things that I have picked up recently.

AVRO

SU2

Grace

Karas

I picked up the AVRO kit just because I thought it was an interesting aircraft that I had never heard of before, but the other three planes I initially bought with the intention of trying to use them as a basis for a kitbashed plane for the "Steampunk, Diesel Punk, & Other" group build.  However, once I got each kit I kind of realized that they are nice models in their own right and am debating finishing them maybe OOB instead.

I also have a 1/48 Defiant that I recently bought somewhere too, but must have misplaced it when cleaning my house Indifferent
