Those AFV Centurions are meant ot be nice kits, i've got the mk.3. I got the DEF canvas cover for mine as well, never used any of their pieces yet. I am thinking of getting that version you have as well, as it has the different gun. There are a couple of UK on line stores which have that kit for under £40.

Yep - just found two, in accordance with a well-known lawBig Smile

I've also got the Mk 3, I think I've just about improved enough to try something a little further up the ladder than Tamiya (not that there's anything wrong with Tamiya), so, when I finish my current bench-clearing exercise I think I'll give it a go.

PatW

I'm a sucker for a Subaru Impreza WRC Rally Car. So on it's way a bargain from ebay by Airfix. I have made a set of bonnet lamps but if the bonnet shape has changed across the Impreza model numbers over the years I'll make some more!

PatW,

A friend sent me a video this morning of his ride in a car similar to the one you picked up.  It was even the same color!  Even though I think the driver wasn't really pushing it, the screaming engine and the constant barrage of mud and stones was really something.

I find watching videos of off-road rally racing to be terrifying, when the camera is in OR out of the car.  They just barrel down those super narrow, slippery courses at insane speeds, while spectators line the turns.  Watching Formula-1 is almost relaxing by comparison!

Your right, there is nothing wrong with Tamiya kits. I do like AFV kits, i find they have a detail level that compares with Dragon but without being over engineered to the same level. I've never had any issue with fit. The only thing i have found to watch out for is pour stubs. These are usually in places that would not be seen, but still need to be removed as they can be quite large in places. I love their range of 251's and where both Dragon and AFV do the same version, i go for the AFV kit.

Yeah, great additions there Hutch! Love those Lancs! And the Centurion is awesome! As Bish says the only real issue is the injection pin marks. On open turret AFVs like an M10 they can be an issue but with a closed top tank like this it shouldn't be too much of an problem.

Excellent adds Hutch. I have alway had a liking to the appearance of the Centurion. I've often considered adding one to build and you may have very well pushed me over the top.

I've been wanting to build an He-111 for 25 years or better. I picked up Revell's offering in 1995 and hung onto it for God knows how long. I finally parted ways with it around 7 years ago and am glad I did because I now have the opportunity in front of me to build a much better kit. Sometimes you've just gotta make the opportunity................ ya know?

I recently picked up ICM's He-111 H-20.

And then I got ALOT of Eduard goodies for it. Still have to get some AM guns and a nice engine for it (it does come with two engines but the Aries Jumo 211 is BOSS!!! and I've already got one coming for this). Also on the way are some Swassies as they don't come on the OOB decal sheet. I still have the True Details wheels and tires that I got for the Revell offering 25 years ago and I'll be going with those on this build.

Excellent reward in patience there Joe. That will be a build to behold in your able hands.

That is indeed the wonder of being in this hobby during these times. If you wait long enough, some manufacturer is going to pop a much a better mold of one of your favorite subjects. As such, I have great optimism that someone will eventually produce a nice upgraded 1/72, or 1/48, PB4Y-2 Privateer.SleepConfused

Now that's what I call biding your time!  Looks like it was worth it though, and the AM goodies should add an extra level (or two!) - nice one!

WooHoo! My Meng 1/24 Ford GT40 arrived. I have been so excited for this to get here. Ordered this off ebay from China for $47.99 + free shipping. Beats the ding dong out of paying the 70.00 - 90.00 + shipping it seems to be going for here in the US. Ordered on 9/1 arrived 9/22. Not bad. Upon opening the box and having a look see I am very impressed. Like the fact that it includes the engine. I am happy!

May have to sell my Fujimi kit off and get this one Joe. That looks great and to hear that there's an engine in the kit makes it even better as well as one helluvalot more affordable.

Yeah, I see me letting most of my Fujimi kits go. I will keep at least to one to build though.

Got these in the mail yesterday and I’ll be trying them out. Dress up some kit seats instead of replacing them with resin seats or PE… for a UK F-4 Phantom, Tornado, and ACES II seats

Really nice finds guys!

Castelnuevo: I have the early version of that grizzley kit in the stash and am hoping to get to building it soon.

keavdog: Love that old school heli

I came across this Bradley at a local Labor Day farm show while on the the hunt for some of the old Ertl farm equipment model kits. At just $50 I had to have it

Stik: Oooh. Nice 3D decals. Wasn't aware Kits World was making those. Where did you order those from?

Keav: That's a sweet old heli kit. Should be a fun build.

John: Now that is very cool and unigue. Beautiful craftsmanship on the Bradley. What wonderful score.

Joe: The Hurst Olds is an absolute boss score. Have you got a particular plan for that?
