Gamera Whoa! Whatta haul Steve!!! I love those figures!!! And I've never built any ICM armour so I don't know how the Tiger II will go. One thing I do like about them is the Royal Tiger is such a big friggin' tank you don't have too many tiny fiddly bits.

I've only built one of their 251's so far and loved it. Second only to the AFV Club kits IMHO.

Wow Steve, that IS quite a haul! I think I'll have to copy you and get that AVRN crew set for my friend's M41 that resides at my house.
The Zero pilot is kind of misleading, as the figure's face is not of a dashing young man like on the box art, but rather looks a lot like my old high school mechanical drafting teacher Mr Kokubun!
I ordered one of those Arma Wildcats for a friend, and it is the cat's meow!

I cannot believe the number of quality kits people are picking up. I also like those not very common kits that are of rare or different designs. I have found myself looking back several pages of this string just to look at the neat stuff that people are getting, much of it I did not know even existed.
For me I got something old, but something new for me. I have always wanted to get one of these,.... finally and for a great price.

Bish Nice haul steve. hows your first view of the wildcat.

Looking through the kit Bish it looks as great as their Mk.1 Hurri. Nice PE set too and markings for 3 US and 1 British
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

That there is one righteous load-o-glory kits Steve. And what a cornucopia of subjects to boot. I'm with Bish on the curiosity about the Arma Wildcat. That's a new one on me. After your reply I checked out some reviews and decided I too had to try one out. Promptly ordered the FM-2 on ebay along with their Yak-1b which I found they made.
You guys are killing me here lately with all these sweet kits I can't resist. Did I also mention that I do not possess a backbone.
Beauty of a Tornado Drums. That ought to be a big epic build.

This is also on it's way in shipping from the USA..

Thanks, that will be on my new year shopping list. I have the new Airfix Valiant coming to me soon, i think that will be plenty to round off the year.
Some great stuff in there fellas.
Joe R: You will love the Cent. I have the Mk 5 in Aussie Vietnam set up
Pat: That skycar is awsome. I'm guessing that it's not very big in 1/72 so you may have to get some good glasses!
Tojo72: The JS2 and figures will make a great diorama. I've never built the Tamiya P38, but if it's like their other offerings it will be a beaut.
Steve: There are some great figures in there. If I can be of any assistance when you start working on them, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Drums: Great pickup, but Gamera is right, that is going to build into one big beast!

Thats a nice score Drums! I bought and built one when it was a new release back in the late 80's. It builds up beautifully, but I recommend replacing the landing gear struts with some metal ones. The kit strut parts are hollow and a bit on the flimsy side.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Thanks for the tip stikpusher, I will do that. As for its size, I have been moving towards 1/32 or large aircraft. My exceptions are a 1/48 C-130 and B-1 bomber but they are very large in that scale anyway. Having purchgased the kit for only $29.00, I have funds for the landing gear and perhaps other details as well.
Pat, that is a neat looking box van body. What are the plans for it?
I went to our local contest this weekend and won 8 out of 12 raffles, bought 2 kits, and gave one of the tickets to a kid at contest. So I came home with 9 kits!
The Akagi didn't win a medal but it did win People's Choice! I was told that some glue spots were spotted under some of the 300 crew. Oh well, when you put that many on you're bound to get a spot of glue here and there. The AT-ST won third as well as my Swordfish.
Here are the new family members.
These are the raffles, practically free at a little over a dollar a piece.
These are the ones I bought.
Oh those are all awesome Steve- congrads!!!
And congrads on getting People's Choice for the Akagi! I think I'd rather had that than a normal award anyway. Awww, glue spots- I get them on everything I build...
Wel done on the awards steve, well deserved. Nice haul there, like the armour selection, enjoy the AS90.
Thanks guys, I'm with you Gam, I'd rather have the award. I have plenty of medals.
Bish, I saw the AS90 in the raffle pile and thought of you
And oh shoot, it's built by Vickers! I'll keep it for a future Bish GB.
modelcrazy And oh shoot, it's built by Vickers! I'll keep it for a future Bish GB.
Well, you still have 2 and a half months of the Vickers GB
Just kidding. We could do with an armour GB soon. Though there will be an Iraq war GB in 2023, if you want to do a desert scheme. If you do, i have some Star Decals which have AS90 markings for Op Telic. They are on the sheet i used for my M109, and as i already have the AS90,i won't use them.
BishThough there will be an Iraq war GB in 2023, if you want to do a desert scheme.
yes, yes, yes.
Blimey, Steve, you're going to need a bigger house
And congratulations on the award, too - very well done!
Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Nice one, not sure if you caught my edit.
Bish Nice one, not sure if you caught my edit.
Nope, went back and read it. Sounds good mate, I was going to look for some markings.

PM me your address and i'll ship them over.
well done on the award steve , its the better of the two anyway .
saw an incredible build of the osprey , by a japanese modeler , always thought about doing it since .
Congrats on the awards.
Getting into the dark side with the three tracks
The osprey is going to be a good sized build, along with the 104, the tiger helo will be easier than the one you just finished. The bone will take a little room but nothing bad.
Saw the fuselage of the ones going up to the museum a few years ago, parked by the rest area south of Salem. They could only move it at night because of the size.
Thanks Steve and GH
GH, the Bone is 1/144 so not so big.
Bravo on your contest wins. I concur that the accolades from contest attendees would bring more satisfaction than from judges. So well deserved. Your kit haul is quite impressive. Maybe even enough to make Mongoose proud. I'm liking that Seaking with the cool scheme. Well done on a rewarding outing my friend.
Thank you Joe! Yes, I'm stoked about the entire haul. I could probably could have done without the 104 but it just too cool of a plane to pass up. Plus there's a lot of AM for it (I think) I'll have to look through Kitlinks for some.
congrats Steve. Nice haul. I'm just about finished with that Osprey kit and is a big model.
Thanks,
John
My mega hobby pre order showed up today finally. They shipped on the 6th.
The new Revell half cab Bronco with trailer and sand buggy. Now have the regular one and the Stroppe one......and I hate Bronco's
Your going to like building the Broncos. I did the regular one and it was a joy to build. I plan on getting the buggy combo as well - maybe xmas.
