Joe - Problem is, I need to sell and not buy!

Well, traveled over to pick the wife unit up at the airport so I had to take advantage of my last visit to the LHS and Hobby Lobby for a good while.

Used my 40 at Hobby Lobby on this nice little kit:

And then picked up these wonderful wishlist kits at the LHS:

I've got to say that my Airfix stash is growing rather sizeable. I like it!Big Smile

just got back from my wife's shopping trip...... funny, the truck always seem's to break down at the same intersection every time.

I didnt realize ,the AMX was 1/20 scale , till I got it home. So much for using the spare part's on other stuff.... It's still going to be "COOL", when I finish it !

I also decided, it was high time to get back into model Railroading ( I miss building building's .)

And wouldn't you know it,.... the truck started right up ! Apperently, buying model's will fix a Dodge pick-up, every time !

Very nice haul Timmy. I've often thought about that '70 AMX myself. Cool kit.

Good thing you own a Dodge because if you had a Ford you wouldn't have "the break downs" and thus have a very sparse stash. Just sayin'....Wink

L O L !

I will "withhold" my comment's on Ford's ...... I have owned enough of them, to have quite the lengthy rant about them.

Mopar Madness

Been liquidating my stash on EBay recently.  I’ve decided to only keep my Airfix collection and a few other kits. So, I got some more red box goodies with some of the surplus funds!

If Bish doesn't say it I will, bloody hell Chad! I've seen your "new" stash and it is extremely impressive.

BTW, I didn't see the HMS Victory.

You beat me to it.

I hope you have some big shelves for thos V bombers Chad. Good job finding the valiant, it seems pretty hard to get hold of.

@Timmy,

Oh my, I like the looks of that AMX!

@Mopar Madness,

Very nice haul. I like the looks of that Shackleton.

@JOE RIX,

Nice haul as well, the P-51 looks interesting.

Geez, with all these Airfix kits being bought, maybe there should be a Airfix group build? I hear they are going to celebrate their 80th year. Wink Stick out tongue

My stash consists mostly of German WW2 armor and aircraft kits, so I decided to do something about that and ordered some kits of more varied subjects.

Of course I had to sneak in one German subject. I've been looking for this kit for quite a while now and finally found one for sale at a decent price.
The earliest StuG III Gs had a somewhat unique looking superstructure front and this is the only kit I know of that replicates that feature:

My most recent kit addition to the stash is Dragon's T54E1. I really like the weird look of that huge oscillating turret. Unfortunately, the turret in this kit is poorly molded and has some pretty big shape issues which even prevent it from rotating freely. I would've expected more from a new Dragon release, but they seem to be lowering their standards more every year unfortuantely. The kit was on sale at least, so I got it for a really good price and the turret shape is fixable.

And last, but not least, I also ordered some new books:

AK's "Diorama FAQ", which I got at a reduced price during their Black Friday sale, as well as the Oil weathering book by Abteilung 502:

And the amazing Ta 152 book by Thomas H. Hitchcock. This book might be expensive, but it's well worth the money. I only had a quick look through it because it only arrived today, but it looks like it's on par with Jerry Crandall's Fw 190 Dora books.

Now if I could only get my hands on the out of production Zoukei Mura Ta 152 H-0... Sad

Clemens: Oh wow nice haul!!! The M5 is a really nice kit but being AFV Club does have injection pin sinkholes everywhere and a lot of fiddly parts. But its really detailed! The T29 is mostly the same mold as my T30/34 and a wonderful kit- one that almost assembles itself! And I have the Amusing Ho-Ri II TD and have done some work on it, hard to tell how accurate the thing is due it being a paper panzer but the fit is terrific!

Also not sure if you've seen it but The Doog had a WiP here where he built the T54E1. He did extensive work on the turret but the results were worth it!

Arcangel: Wow, you got a great deal there! And the Meng kits are great builds!

That is a gorgeous kit. Meng is cranking out some incredible products.

I got mine last year from a eBay seller in China for $28 with free shipping. The package took under 2 weeks to arrive but the price was worth the wait.

Wow! SS, fantastic haul! I've wanted to get that AFV Shot Kal and the T-34.

Archangel, I almost pulled the trigger on that sale too. Good catch!

Cliff, I just looked for that build thread on the T54 after you mentioned it. Looks like a somewhat annoying thing to fix, but it's definitely doable. Thanks for telling me about that one!

I'm actually thinking about picking up Takom's T34 kit as well. The T29 kit looks really nice in the box and I'd like another one without the rangefinder boxes on the turret sides.

I spotted this on sale at an amazing price (40% off) a couple of days ago and simply couldn't resist.

The kits themselves are both standard Profipacks with the usual assortment of PE and canopy masks, but with the addition of a new decal sheet with lots of new color schemes.

While the G-6/14 kit is very nice, the 190 is what makes this kit for me. The A-8/R2 is by far my favorite radial 190 variant and like all their new 190 kits, this one fixes some of the really annoying fit issues with the original Eduard kit.

This is currently the only way to get the new tool A-8/R2 and considering I got an additional Bf 109 pretty much for free, it's not a bad deal imo.

I won't be building this for a while yet as I am entering it in a competition on another forum and I am waiting for Eduard and the rest to put some stuff out.

I already have Master's Browning barrel set for this and Iconair extras for the Merlins.

HGW will be releasing a seatbelt set and Eduard have a seatbelt set, masking set and cockpit set next month. Things are starting to appear!
