Ye, i did see it was a re-box of the Trump kit on scalemates. I got the Trump one a few months back. The Trump kit came out in 2002 so of course pre dates Op Telic. Can't say i have ever seen Hobby Craft over here.

It is a nice kit. There area few accuracy issues, the travel lock is a pretty noticable one and the lack of droop on the rubber shroud at the bottom of the barrel. I plan on getting the Accurate Armour update set for mine, but thats pretty pricey. I think its RB does a really nice metal barrel with will also correct the shroud.

Bish, those AS-90s are pretty common around here. This one is just a rebox of the Trumpeter kit. And a very nice kit it is I might add.

Tonka, I already have a Marine Corps Corsair for my Korean War collection. A -5N to be exact. This one will be Navy. Now if  I can get ahold of an AU-1, I'll build another Marine Corsair.

Wirraway, that looks like one nice score! The 177 is a big bird! Very clever to get the foreign markings one for a better price... Yes

well I picked up these two at last weeks IPMS fundraiser auction.

Always wanted a big 1/48 He 177 but they were sooo expensive and out of my price range.  Then I saw that the one with allied markings was significantly cheaper than those with German markings, so I went for it.  when I bought the Montex mask set, I found it has all the stencils for the German markings included, for less than 10 bucks.  Happy Days.

Oh man, I wish I could find a yard sale like that.

Dang Tonka, you hit the jackpot!

I know Stik! Double Jackpot since several are USMC or I can make them that way (Skyraider/Wildcat) with decals. I literally just looked over as we were driving and thought I saw models out on table,,,turned around and bingo. Lady said: " these were my Dad's 'toys' and he can no longer 'play' with them." Just glad it was Father's day, otherwise wife would have said...OMG MORE MODELS!!  Surprise

I lucked in Sunday when i stopped at a garage sale on way to daughter's house. These were first models I have found at garage sale in long time.

They all look complete, except the Wildcat is missing the prop..not a big deal.

Apparently they had more Friday and Saturday, tanks and cars mostly DANG!

They were priced from $2 to $10, But they wanted these gone so got all 9 for $40!! Figured less than $5 a piece was too good to pass up.

Wife said it was my Father's Day gift!!

Now I have more old Monograms for the Mafia build and a new USMC F-4.

Mopar Madness
Thats a nice Hodaka.  Although, the throttle needs a little bit of work!

The gas tank could use a new paint job as well. Just sayin.

This is what was on my doorstep when I got home from Dallas.

This beauty arrived on Saturday from GasPatch Models!  It took less than 5 business days to ship to Texas from Greece!  The kit looks great and details are superb.

Ha! Check this latest 1/1 vintage 1971 Hodaka flat track racer kit I bagged at a sale yesterday for $65! I also build these and the're always good for a years entertainment and small fortune, lol! I need to put this in the stash as I'm getting further behind in the model scene. Too many hobbies.  Geeked

I got to see a rocket car drag race a P-51D and an F4U-1 and the rocket car won! That was the most awesome thing I've ever seen!

Back on topic though, looks like someone also pilfered the conopy pices for the Mig3! I guess I'll have to get creative? Or find a Vaccuum formed one somewhere.

Either way, I'm having fun with this little Mig as we speak.  :D

Nice score Mike!

I went to Eagle Quest today but the only vendor was Squadron and not much at that. Their kits were somewhere around %25 off. Didn't find anything I wanted to pack for the trip home.

Oh well, got some nice pics and said hi to Aaron.

I had myself an absolute blast at the Olympic Air Show today! The kids and I spent the first 25 minutes in the gift shop! Lol!!

One rack in particular caught my eye and I feel like scored big time!

The Hs123 has yellowed decals and the Mig is missing the decals, but how hard is it to make a star mask? Lol!

Lots of fun in those three bags!  :D

It ain't real lessen I sees a picture.

Maybe I can bleach them in the sun. Has anyone tried this with success?

Find a window that gets several hours of sunlight and stand the decal sheet there. It may take a couple of weeks but the sun will bleach it purty good. it's worked for me several times.

When you do this, make sure that you put it in a zip lock bag to protect it from humidity.

I'll give that a try. I just hope that the decals are not dried out.

I make it a point to regularly drop into our local second hand store on the off chance that someone had dropped off a kit. I've scored a car kit here and there usually for around $10.00 per kit. But, today I stopped in and found this beaut. And for only $3.00. Bonus! I know ole Joe (Mustang) will appreciate this.

JohnnyK, that kit is incredibly fun to build, nice find. If you are careful the steering wheel actually turns the fron wheels!

See if this helps with the instructions.  If not, you can probably find them on the net.

Look at what I found. A 1/12 scale Tamiya Ferrari 312T.  The kit was never opened. The decal sheet has a date of 1991. There are a couple of problems: First, the instructions are in Japanese. Second, all the white decal stripes  have turned yellow. I cannot find replacement decals on the Internet. Maybe I can bleach them in the sun. Has anyone tried this with success?

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

I found myself a new toy at HL. Last one on a shelf marked down from $44.99 to $17.19!

Right in my price range.  :)

I was aiming for a B-25, but this is even better. I have never had the opportunity to build a Promodeller kit. :D

Oh happy day! Lol

Mike you'll be happy to know that the kit has all of the parts to do the version with the 50mm bordakanon also.  I have two in the stash from Hobby Lobby

um, this is the post I was responding to. :/

No kidding??! That's the version I'd like to build anyways!

I was impressed with the PE, but it seems mostly limited to the cockpit.

Seriously, I think I'm REALLY going to enjoy building this one.  Big Smile
