Hey people, IPMS-Manila, would like to invite you on April 25, 2004
at 1:00 pm, 4th floor U.P. Diliman's College of
Architecture Building. Topic would be airbrushing. Or visit out web site
at www.geocities.com/ipms_manila for more info. Thanks.
Let us all just build our models happily, it works.
Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Uy! Airbrush lessons? Pwede ba ako maki sit-in? Smile [:)] I hope it's alright.... I'm just a newbie airbrusher and any tips, pointers, and techniques I can take I believe will develop my skill further.

Oki lang ba (mag sit-in) despite me hailing from another club?

You are most welcome to come, despite that you come from another club.
There are still more lessons and topics to be tackled too.

Yeah, yeah... right now i'm thinking i'd make a great policeman!! Hey, it's not my fault that i enjoy food! Tongue [:P]

Tell me about it. I have been to U.P. TWICE for isaw and fishballs since the last meeting.

Hey shrikes, where in QC are you ?
I'm from Cubao, I'm into WWII Bombers too but I include modern and sci-fi. Mostly I'm into 1/72nd scale German aircraft, I also build German armor in 1/35 and German ships in any scale but much prefer 1/350 scale. I'm a new member of IPMS-Manila.

I'm from the Katipunan Area. It's great to finally meet someone else who loves bombers! As was said in "Flight of the Intruder": "Fighter pilots make movies, bomber pilots make history!" I focus more on Allied A/C, though. I'm too chicken to start on a splinter camo! Tongue [:P] Maybe one day when i get an airbrush, I'll do an He-111! or maybe a Fw-200! Gotta love those multi-engined A/C!

Yes, the topic always degenerates to food doesnt it? LOL. Maybe its because we have some of the best food right here in the country. Hows the Sabre coming along?Smile [:)]

The Sabre is just sitting here... I'm waiting for more of the decals from Tony. I'm kinda hoping that It'll arrive soon, so i can seal the decals with some clear spray!

I know the dealer here in Manila is in Binondo somewhere. I think T. Alonzo to be exact. Let's ask Ben...

BEN!!! Do you know where the exact location is?

By the way, why IWATA? Are you going to do some heavy-duty brushing? IWATA and Paasche are notably airbrushes for industrial use... Badger only comes second to them in durability. They are wuite expensive though.

Yep Fairfax, the best time to visit cebu is the 3rd weekend in January which is the sinulog and one should book hotel reservation at least 3 months in advance.

Ah... I see... You've got a really good brush there. It's a little heavy for me (both in the weight and price category) but it's a really nice airbrush. I'm quite sure it's a store in T. Alonzo. I'm going to Manila this week. I'll pass by and see if they're still selling them. I'll keep you posted.

It is very good to hear that more ladies are getting into the hobby.

My 6 year old daughter has already ask me if I can buy her a model kit that she can build. I think I'll get her a car kit or something.

Good luck ladies...

No problem... I use a Badger 150. It's quite versatile but I've tried the Crscendo 175 of Badger... That's a really robust airbrush. Compact, light, very durable and the parts are cheap and readily available.

Uy, I'm currently armed with a Crescendo 175. May I know where its parts can be found locally? Just in case I may need some replacements in the future. Big Smile [:D]

There are three places I know that sell parts. The first is Han's Infinite Tools at the 6th level of Shangrila EDSA. The other one is of course Jolli's along Espana across UST from Gov. Forbes. The third one is a place called Deovir near the corner of Quezon Blvd. and Recto. There are several other shops in Binondo such as Panda Construction in Dasmarinas though I've never been there but LoRdToRqUeMaDa (este Rico pala) says the parts are really cheap.

Hi sigman,

Sorry can't comment on the airbrushes and compressor stuff, jmvillalon is our lead-in man when it comes to mechanical matter airbrushes and compressors.

Fairfax, belated happy birthday, pare.

Hey Ben, they might believe you... In fairness, I really learned a lot of techniques from good 'ol Mel Silvestre... I guess a lot of guys in the hobby know him. I'm just voicing my small opinion in the matter... hehehe Blush [:I]

Hello to all, especially the ipms- manila group. I think most of the members are now using this forum instead of our yahoo group.

Noel, I'm new to this forum stuff ( my first post actually ). How do you place the ipms-manila banner on a post?
