Nah, I don't think na "give him a hard time and he'll give up" attitude nga ang intention ng mga promoters. Maybe it's an occurence lang na they have no power over. Ehehehe.

Uy, 1/144 F-23.... is that the Trumpeter brand? Is the kit any good?

You can try replicating the decal using your computer.... print it out on a wet-transfer decal sheet (blank decal sheet).... seal it with clear paint and voila! Replacement decal sheet!.... Big Smile [:D]

Guys,

I suggest getting the name of the sales lady and post them here. I'm sure yung "boss" nila is listening in to this forum. Naktulong pa kayo.

Jun

Rod

my sentiments also, last year i bought a sealed DML kit at STC virramal, when i got home and opened it its contents were mixed with another kit and the instruction had hand writings, i tried returning it the next day or exchanging it for new kit, the sales lady said it was impossible since i opened the box and "magagalit daw si boss"?

so, next time when i wanna buy a sealed kit, i always request it to be opened before purchasing and check all its contents myself, if they won't, sorry, but no thanks.

i'm a frequent visitor of STC (now, less of the buying), this attitude thay have towards their consumers has to improve or else its bad business.

with regards to your extra thin: "charge to experience" my friend.

Whoah! so many replies, these are BAC people right?

jun

in reading this forum you guys promote STC.
there's no need for such red tape,
if the owner of STC is reading this forum. therfore, he is already informed.
have pity on the sale lady and spare rod further inconvenience for one bottle of cement.

my 10 cents.

arlmags

arlmags

i agree with you, how much is one bot. of extra thin? P180-190? his fare alone is almost enough to buy new bottle and spare the him the trouble of filling a complaint.

the IPMS-Manila guys, do literally promote STC should be the first to inform the owner of incidents like this, and assist rod, this is the best moment to help a fellow modeller in need and not pass him around...talk about a bottle of cement.

rod

you should bought your cement somewhere near like JMNs and Lils mkt. isang bus ride lang sayo yun diba? di ka siguro nagkaproblema.

i also use extra thin ang mahal, kaya i use them in tandem with regular cement. a friend suggested chloroforme its cheaper pero sumasakit ang ulo ko, i don't want to wake somewhere naked. heheheheBig Smile [:D]

cheer up!Big Smile [:D]

beth

guys

thanks for the support, its only a bottle of cement, no need to stretch the issue... i already bought a new bottle at JMNs yesterday its cheaper by P10!. then again 2nd buy ko.

napadpad lang ako dun beth.

if this is a repeating issue(s) about STC i hope the owner/management seriously consider the matter. Shy [8)]

okey, i get the point in your internal contest i hope i didn't struck a nerve there. no need to shove it in...may nauna lang kasi.

your welcome! the DML 1/72 M1A1/A2 is a good kit i have the old ESCI,DMLs and the Revell AG, the later is the best second by DML.

by now your aware of the modificatin in the DML kit: the turret basket and some minor parts to scale. i'm slow building mine along with some germans di lang continuous, katay dito, katay dun.Smile [:)] good luck on your build.

1/72 helos and fixed wings, allan is more adept on this subject, sa kanya rin ako natututo ng techniques he'll reply soon.

just keep posting.

So far I've no issues with STC or Hobbitoi here in Alabang. Their "tindera's" are polite naman although they're kinda "intriguera's" (if you know what I mean).... I've had gotten some 3 bottles of Gunze Mr. Color that upon opening at home were dried-up, but they replaced the paints without much question, seems the previous day the tindera did a little inventory of their paints and really found some dry ones.... buti na lang. Another one happened when I got me one of those Dragon (u)nano 1/144 scale F-16 Night Falcon in Hobbitoi.... the sprues were complete but a couple of parts were missing from the sprues, and I never found any loose parts inside the plastic either (mukhang na-kitbash although malamang factory defect) I returned it the next day.... nung una ayaw ng mga salesladies baka daw mapagalitan sila ng boss nila but with a little prodding and (ahem) pa-cute buti na lang pumayag. I don't know kung napagalitan nga sila, sana naman hindi.... they were just doing their job and keeping a returning customer happy. I'll be happier though kung mag-re-stock sila ng bagong Dragon (u)nano scale aircraft kits.

if your cement is really troubling you, i recommend if you can still afford, buy a new bot, somewhere near its your choice makati or malate.

its no use to go back and forth to that store. this is a petty issue that should have been resolved when you returnd their product not to mention that those who are concerned are reading this forum.

BTW, the trumpeter leclerc requires a lot of rebuilding, and lots of fit problems, i bought the kit 3 years ago, my 1/72 revell ag kit fared better.

actually, there are more than just two IPMS ors present in the Metro.... there's south manila, fort(though i'm not really sure with the fort), Manila and Bert Anido Chapter.

i am more familiar with the last two. and since you mentioned you are into sci-fi, there's this group called mechapinoy. they specialize in sci-fi and mecha. in fact, they have been promoting the hobby thru their gundam caravans as sponsored by bankee, the maker of ban dai.

Yep! Better yet, there are TWO IPMS-philippines here, so you can take your pick: IPMS: Manila and IPMS-Philipines-Bert Anido Chapter. There are also lots of helpful people here in the forum that are just waiting to help you out! Check out the armor and a/c forums if you have the time!

Welcome to the FSM forums, and i hope to see you at our monthly meetings! (speaking of which, we have one next sunday because of an in-house competition - the Bert Anido Cup. drop me a note about the details if you're interested!)
