thanks! but, i pass the honors to my senior BAC members they know who they are, i ha d the similar reaction when i saw their works.

yes, i have the same callsign, the Bataan is 1/700 DML USS Princeton, Independence Class Light Carrier, having modified it to a 1951 Korean Conflict Version of the USS Bataan, one of the first USN carriers to arrive in that theater to provide the UN forces much needed "by then" ground support. having only one squadron VMA-312 F4UD corsairs, later reinforced with Avengers and Skyraiders.

all mast fore and aft were modified and radar, AAA were rearrange including trading off the aft 5"38 DP gun for a 2x40mm quad, the fore was also modified as the ship did increased its stores, the Bataan was currently being upgraded when it recieved the call, w/c explains the lone marine squadron (VMA-312) also rush into the conflict. the whole squadron is the ship two are inside the hangar.

water line Tamiya nga, the KGV is still under construction, the hull is scratch built from styrene, fiberglass and polytuff, the shafts and strutts are spruse and the rudder is als made of styreen, there's nothing complex in the build all are basic i'll share the technique if you like.

the raillings are PE i'm still practicing allan's method on stretched spruse, very economical yun.

good luck on your CV6, i'm making a hull for mine, using the as-built drawings and some photos, the Trumpeter 350s hull are innacurate so, i can't rely on them, i think we have the same kit if i'm succeful i'll cast you a resin copy.

uy! that's huge, i have 1/700 DML Soveremmney of all the 1/700 DML ships the Russians are in waterline, gotta give the water base a plus, i like them in full hull, i don't have the skill yet in making hulls for this scale or any other.

Braille is for 1/72 scale aircraft, 1/144 is the U-nano and 1/350 is mahal or mutya, he hehe.

Trumpheter's 1/144 scale of Japanese Navy's Kawanishi Type 97 Maritime and Reconnaissance Flying Boat, (Allied Code Name -Mavis ) is a good kit, try it.

Only three of us in IPMS Manila came from IPMS P BAC. One came from IPMS Philippines before it became IPMS P BAC. The rest are walk-ins! So that means...around 40+ walk-ins. Malaki na ang population ng modelers. Just look at this thread. It gets longer each day! 14 pages long na!!!!

You got it correct. There are a couple of IPMS clubs na and yes, it is good for the hobby. After we established IPMS Manila last December, we didn't realize how large the population of modelers willing to join clubs. How many modelers aged in this hobby alone..had to learn alone...and had to grow alone in the hobby. I spent 9 years with my friends at IPMS Philippines which later was named IPMS-P-BAC in comemoration of a great man and friend..Bert Anido.

This hobby is great. It brings out the best in oneself. Like say...building my Leopold for four long months..argh.

Ako rin braille (a stockpile of unbuilt kits) but I'm still a newbie when it comes to airbrushing (pwede ba magpaturo sa inyo?) so I tend to practice muna through (u)nano scale 1/144 aircrafts. Also am working on a 1/24th scale medyo classic rally car right now.
