I joined the the corps 32 years ago this month and did three years and extended for one more.. I was an 7011 air launch and recovery tech,( if it had a tail hook i caught it ) !  Did boot camp in M.C.R.D. San Diego (Hollywood marine ) advance training in Lakehurst N.J.  First duty station was M.C.A.S. Yuma then on to Camp Butler Okinawa And on to M.C.A.S. El Toro ... Got out as an E-4 .. I served in the 1st and the 3ed M.A.W. Still gotta build an OA-4 M from the head quarters squadron in YUMA . On a sad note the 3ed M.A.W. just lost 7 marines just the other day !

Probably because it got revieved after about 8 years. Look at the original dates and they are in 2003.

Anyways, I was in for over 21 year in the Army Reserves, 11 years as a Fire Direction Specialist in the Field Artillery and 10 as a truck driver. Two deployments, one to Germany for the Bosnia mission and one to Iraq for the war.

Retired 6 years ago and never looked back.

20 years (ret) USAF. Through most of the career, worked at maintaining Avionic Sensor Systems. Think the ultimate Video Bombing systems, (IR, TV, Laser, Low Light Level) . I also worked the SR-71 and U-2 Spyplanes, and finished my career working with the Aircraft of the AF Special Ops. I also took a special interest in Disaster Preparedness & Safety). I still wish I was back in uniform after 9 yrs retirement.

Did 4 years in Regular Army (63-67) - Military Intelligence (ASA) - your basic oxymoron
Got out for a while, and then someone talked me into "try one (yr)" in the Ks National Guard. Retired last year after 20 years. Spent the whole time with 1/127 FA Bn (the first Guard unit to field the Paladin). Spent 4 years in Commo and the rest of the time in the TOC as the "Bn Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Operations Specialist"(54B30) (that was my official title, however my primary jobs were A. assistant ops sgt and B. Coach of the TOC Special Olympics team) lol

I was a field artillery cannon crewman, M198, 155mm Howitzer towed, in the Marines. 4 years was enough for me.
