Manstein's revenge

Okay...now you are claiming an injury is keeping you from your HO??? Are you freakin' kidding me???

Nope, I suspect I was ambushed due to my lack of progress, your agents just winged me - no permanent damage! I think I now have a better option for the engine areas, just wasn't happy with the rolled styrene sheet. The secret ingredient will be unveiled shortly.

No limp... sort of landed on hip/camera, and right hand. The wrist is still a little tight, slightly sprained but nothing broken. Tape me up coach, I'm going back in.

Yes  I approve of your Ho exposing its fiddly bits.

Spent last night shopping for a replacement camera - I had a slip+fall on some ice on Sunday, my trusty 3-year old Kodak sacrificed itself, ending up between my hip & the frozen pavement. Also lost a perfectly good cup of coffee in the process.  Found a decent deal on a Canon Powershot, picking that up today. The same store also had a Fuji... marked at $229.99. Indifferent Almost bought that one on the spot for the sheer karma points.

Karma !!! goooooooood...Yes

Karma goooood....

lost my trusty Sony a few weeks back but I was able to replace it with a really cool Samsung PL200 I got new on eBay for $49.99.  It's a 14MP camera and is much better at shooting in low light settings.  It has a better image stabilization function as well, so my shaky hands don't mess up as many shots.  Gotta love eBay...  I will miss my Sony but it enjoyed a relatively long life, so it's death was not in vane.  Word to the wise.  Do not set down a camera with the wrist strap hanging down over a shelf if you have any feline creatures living in your abode.  I didn't even know they had it until I saw my Wife's cat dragging the remains and trying to bury it in the litterbox...

HO UPDATE....

after some creative putty/body work and careful carressingg...i mean sanding...I got the nose of my HO in shape....missed a spot which I just filled...but hey good enough for government work.....working on those engine covers....as I mentioned in another thread THE FIT BITES!!Bang Head..so Im posing them open to show the engines' .."fiddly bits"...so Im adding some ribs on the inside of the covers...(cat ribs that is...)  Just placed the wings to see what I had to look forward to...and you can see,,,Buckets o' Fun ahead...I might need another tube of putty....oh and the engines are a bit out of alignment.....the fit on this kit reminds me of the MPM He-177 I tackled a few years ago.....very interesting subject but what  a beast of a build...

"can you see the seams from where you are????"

more to come later.....
