Yes, they sure are!
"All you mugs need to get busy building, and post pics!"
I saw a RCAF F-104 at the first few air shows I went to as a kid back in the 70s. The RCAF would send down a F-104 or F-5 to fly at the El Toro show. And ther were all sorts of other goodies as well. Good times... Once again, very nice work!
Thanks folks. A friend of mine flew them with the RCAF in Germany in the 60s and 70s. Des has over 30 different aircraft in his log book from Spitfires to Starfighters and he said the CF-104 was his favourite. I used to do mostly props but I now have an affinity for post war RCAF jets. Lots of little project ideas running around the old noodle. Just a matter of time to get them all done.
Retired and living the dream!
Cool builds, Murph! Love those -104's
Nice birds you got there, Murph!!
2022 New Year's Resolution: Enter 1 group build and COMPLETE a build this year!! Why Photobucket did you rob me of my one Group Build Badge??? Must be part of the strong anti-Monogram cartel!!!

good looking birds
Beautiful clean builds there murph. I definitely detect a RCAF theme, and some partiality to Starfighters.
Here's a few...
Oh yes, I do recall that song well...
Thanks Stik. Remember the song, stuck in Lodi again. It is small town America.
I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Sweet builds, Wayne! Way to breathe new life into these kits! These are two of my favorites from the classic catalog. I like the Coral Sea markings on the SBD.
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
Lodi, New Jersey, too. If you're an American of Italian extraction, your people might have passed through there, after coming through Ellis Island. Mine lived there, for a while.
A couple of nice classics there Wayne! I guess Lodi must be a popular small town name. I recall passing thru a Lodi in Louisiana, and also here in California. Ohio as well?
Wow haven't heard the name Lodi in years. I was formerly from Wooster just down the road
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
The model is straight out of the box. Still have antennas and a couple of other things to add. The pilot was from Lodi, Ohio. My brother had a drug store in Lodi, and I was building it to display there. He has since sold the store and it has closed. By the markings, it served in the Southwest Pacific.
wayne that Jug is sweet, you've gotta let me in on the cockpit and canopy, they dont look like kit parts
Well that P-51 diorama is very sharp looking.
I think he's also built B-17 dios, replicating Shep's original.
Looks like this guy builds them once ordered...
Another example to show that you can build a Monogram kit into a nice model:

I'm not connected to this in any way, either as builder or as seller, I just happened to see it, in my eBay feed.
No, all OOB. Trust me, with all the challenges that it gave, I would have cried putting any more time or $ into that thing.
LOL. I built a 1/48th scale B-36 a long time ago and that thing was HUGE!! Did you use any AM stuff or is it OOB?

mustang1989 Dang Reasoned!!! That Peacemaker looks great!!! You guys who deal in 72nd scale blow me totally away. I have a hard enough time in 48th scale doing what I do and then you guys come do this. Good stuff man.

Joe, a 1/72 Peacemaker is like a 1/32 B-17!
von Werra: What I can see of the B-17 and the B-58 they both look good to me.
Von Werra, any chance of getting another photo of your B-17 that shows the whole model? I do like your Hustler!
