I like, but we have to tie in the Helldiver theme in some way...hmmmmmmm...could the pattern of his skating spell out "Helldiver" or the nomenclature number?

That's all I have to say about that!

Hmm.. Well translating the zipper mouth face means a wing fold option... Whistle face means AZ ice tea...

99 cents will get you 23 ounces of deliciousness and 63 square inches of scratchbuilding awesomeness!!!

LMAO---glad you got some more "supplies"...

Supplies? I don't see any napkins....

Looks like a beauty of a kit, but I'll likely stay clear of it at full-retail considering the stash I just confessed to in that other thread...

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Oh I know, it looks amazing (as in interesting, not attractive Wink ) Loving the wingfold detail + PE dive flaps. I'm thinking I've got about 8 years worth of stash right now - roughly equivalent to 6 months worth for fermis.

Good pieces of hell!!

I ordered the academy one at low price but the vendor not received it again!!

Strange politics of brands, the helldiver was already good represented by the academy one.. but the dauntless is actually out of the 72 scale!!! why not a new dauntless??

PS this post turned into a GB?

I don't do 1/72, but I just ordered a the Pro-Modeler release of the butt-ugly SB2C-4 Helldiver. So I may have to get in on the GB, timing dependent and all that.

I'm with Doogs on 1/72 (save the Peacemaker, wished that was 1/144 or 0!) Got the 1/48 AM SB2C-4 in the stash, has anybody built that, will it work?

Science is the pursiut of knowledge, faith is the pursuit of wisdom.  Peace be with you.

I think the bottom one shows up better when reduced in size but would rather have the Hellcat in the top one superimposed instead of the one flying away...can you make that change?

Then we can vote on the two submissions...

So who is in on this build??

I'm in. My Helldiver arrives tomorrow. Decals and a few small details this week.

Someone should really start an official GB thread though.

...just sayin'...

Hans was a lucky one who got to fly in the last flying Helldiver...

Betcher Azz...  Toast

The pilot didn't like it when I lowered the turtleback though... There was a fair amount of tail-buffeting when it was down and the guns out..   But it made for a helluva "Hero-shot", lol... Too bad we couldn't do a dive-bomb run though.. The bird is limited to a max 3-Gs...  Normal pull-out at "Bombs Away" was about 7-8 Gs, so we didn't, couldn't  do one..

The only CAF aircraft that are allowed to exceed the 3-G max are the "Val" replicas in the Tora Squadron...   I dunno what their max is, but from watching them do their bomb-runs, I'd SWAG it at 5 Gs..
