Guess I'll start this one off!!!

Didn't have much time the other night, and this whole weekend was a total bust.

I clipped most of the parts (all the ones that need interior green) from the sprues, cleaned em all up and did a little painting. I haven't found an interior green that I like....they seem very "cartoony" to me, so I mix my own with OD and Chromate Yella. After spraying the parts, I added a bit more yellow to lighten and hit a few areas to break up the monotone (not really visible in pics).

I use a tiny dab of CA to attach the parts to scrap sprue for painting.

That's about it for now.

I threw some interior green on Friday. Been out of town since, but I'll be back at it tonight.

Things are under way here...albeit slowly. Out of town over the weekend, and currently battling some work-life balance fails.

Here's the beast scattered about the bench. Aside from the interior green, I've been focused on cleaning out the kit flap detail to make way for the PE.

Speaking of the PE - very nice. I started folding it up - enough to test the fit - before I remembered that I need to paint the things before I fold them all up. So...here's the port flap semi-folded.

Complex-looking, but actually fairly simple in practice. Mostly folding massive flappy pieces. Far preferable to gluing down dozens of microscopic bits, IMO...

I'm laying odds 3 : 1 that DoogsATX finishes his "beast" before Fermis...any takers?

Not a chance. Especially with the big B-25 sharing the bench...

Are you kidding me?  Do you know how much work it is just overseeing and supervising a Group Build?

The paperwork alone is a killer. Building permits & licenses for each state or province involved, dealing with the unions, coordinating recon missions with your agents, marketing meetings with badge designers, maintaining a properly corrupted slush fund account....

Doesn't look like I'll hit the 5/15/12 deadline, set for ME, on this one! Work is sapping my modeling soul and bench time. I'm ready for October!

Pit is wrapped up. Harness is Tamiya tape with the buckles from the kit PE.

I thinned down the gunners "rings", as well as the edges of the seatpan. Rolled up some Tamiya tape to represent the liferaft, in its container.

IP is hand painted w/ clear glue "glass".

As she sits now. See the busted glass?.....BOOOOOOO........It was that way on the sprue, held together only by the sprue. At least it's right along the frame edge....easy fix.....and it'll be covered by the rear canopy.
