uhoh! looks like ChukW accidentally got paint on a couple of the gauges on the IP. And Chukw wasn't there supposed to be a gunsight on the top of the dash?

Hi Chukw,

I've been following your build for the past few weeks after coming back into the forum following an extended mobilization and deployment in support of OEF.  I've been out of the net for almost two years and it's truly refreshing to return to see your build progress and the great tips and methods you present in your postings, they're awesome.

I'm inspired by your attention to detail and started work on an Eduards P-40N Warhawk about 6 weeks ago.  I'm still working on the cockpit adn haven't even painted anything yet.  There're a number of inaccuracies and missing details that I'm working on now, especially with the forward radiator and oil cooler intakes.  I'll post photos when I can get the lighting and exposure right.

As I said, you're posts are awesome and I've already used a couple of your techniques on my build.

One question I have:  What kind of camera are you using and on what settings?  You have to be using the macro setting.  I'm having trouble getting the lighting right so my photos are clear and bright.

Thanks for sharing your build.

Steve

Chuk,

I hope you're going to sell a DVD of this when complete.  I'd love to have it for my collection of reference materials!

I know what you're going through, Doug. Just yesterday, I got the glue all over my hands. Blasted leaky super glue tubes!Evil [}:)] Then, while cleaning my hands, I nearly dropped the Cutex bottle on the model.

.......when you finish this build what will we have to look forward to?

This is like a soap for modelers, and I don't mean for the dirty fingers either!

Hmmm here I am, grumbling to myself and anyone that will listen about fit issues and kit inaccuracies. Then I read this thread and it makes me get that warm fuzzy feeling and all is well again.Mischief [:-,]

What I want to know is how lil' chuk had the nads to promote himself!! (You can salute with your left hand if the right hand is occupied. What's little chuk doing with his right hand?)

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Are you kidding??? This is, to use a much-overused phrase, inspirational stuff! I know it'll take a lot of practice and perserverance to even approach the artistry I see here each week, but that's the real fun. Don't you dare stop... I think there'd be a riot if you did Wink [;)]

I love the expression on Lil' Chuk's face at the start of your latest installment (where's he's holding the "Sand-o-Matic"). Laugh [(-D]Thumbs Up [tup]Make a Toast [#toast] That new canopy is sweet, too.

Wish I had a Vac-U-Form machine. I don't even have a cannister-style vacuum cleaner and I wouldn't know where to store one in this apartment!Sigh [sigh]
