Thanks again, gents, for all your kind words.

Life's been busy!  I've been at my job hammer and tongs, the wife and I have had the flu- even the dog had some surgery!  Everything's working out okay- and I've had a chance to do a little follow-up to the Helldiver- enjoy!

It would be hard to come up with words that not only describe the pure craftsmenship and beauty of your Helldiver; it would also be hard to come up with the words to describe my thanks for your unselfish work in illustrating and teaching us your craftmenship. You ought to request FSM publish a stand-alone special edition on the build of this fine piece of museum quality work. I would buy multiple copies just in case I ever lost one.

Thank You for sharing this project with all of us.

Chuk,

Are we going to see Lil Chuck in German grey uniforms?  And what will become of Abe in this new build?  I can't wait to see what you cook up in the next build.

The most informative and entertaining thread I've ever seen on here. Thanks for sharing it all with us and of course, congratulations on producing such a fine model. It really is a work of art.

Now, chukw, it is time to reward yourself by firing up the barbecue, grilling a nice thick top sirloin, baking a potato and tossing a salad, and enjoying an ice-cold beer!Chef [C=:-)]Dinner [dinner]

Chuk This is the first time I've said anything on this build. I really could think of anything that wasn't already said, and still can't.  I also can't wait for the next one.

Thank you for the awsome/amazing build!!!!

Great choice for your next build Chuckster. I built that one with mixed results (Mainly paint) Watch out for the dodgy fitting Cockpit glass, and apparantly the Barbette sights are modelled the wroing way up?

Im sure its a waste of time offerring help to a Genius anyhow LOL.

Again- my most humble thanks, friends-

Sir, you are an artist and an inspiration. I really think this thread should be made into a book. We mere modelers could learn so much from this. Many thanks for sharing your build. nice one.

All the best.

Wow, Chuck!  Your Helldiver is a contest-winner, that's for sure.

But what's even better was your SBS.  You have a real way with organizing and presenting the steps.  I could see very easily that you could have held a seminar on this subject-do you do anything like this kind of presentation in real life?  Very well-thought-out, aimed at the audience, very patient to explain the finer points-you're an excellent presenter.  As a former teacher and instructor, I tip my hat to you, sir!  This is the best SBS on a scale modeling topic that I've ever seen!

Most excellent! (air guitar solo here)

Smeagol...I think you're right! I'd love to see what Chuck could do to a Panzer IV if you gave him 18 months...!!! Approve [^]

This is awesome, Chuk, better than museum quality, this is simply a masterpiece.  Hard to believe it's complete.

I really like your antenna technique and how you did the gunsight.  I'll be looking for the Quickboost gunsight soon.

Thanks so much for posting and sharing.  Looking forward to your next build.

Amazing. Just amazing. That is one of the nicest models I have ever seen. It really is amazing that you could stay with one build for so long but it was definitely worth it. Way to stick with it and see it till the end! Everything is just turned out simply amazing. And thanks for a great build Chukw! It was great to watch.

I think the most amazing part to me (aside from the incredible finished product) is the amount of patience you have to stick with the SAME BUILD for so long...a quality that I sorely lack. If I'm not throwing something on the shelf every now and then, the motivation wanes for me.

Bravo! What a build! Make a Toast [#toast]

Make a Toast [#toast]Superb!!!! I have really enjoyed this, your modelling skills and your buddies, as this has progessed. I can only hope that my next project will attain 1/16 what you have done. It has been a great time from start to finish. This is really a wonderful job, once again.
