That is simply incredible, Chuk! Above and beyond your skill, thank you for taking the time to share, step-by-step, how you created such a nice model. ONe aspect I appreciate is that you didn't make it look easy...which is truthful. Yet you showed us how to do it in case we want to try. You are a true gem to our hobby. Thank you, sir.

....another aspect amid the great craftsmanship is how chukw never hid or glossed over any errors made along the way and even detailed the repairs!

Chuck, you rule mate. This whole build has caught our collective imagination. You've made all the things and effort you've put in seem easy. When does the next build start, Gruppenfuhrer?

Chukw.... thanks so much for this thread.  I've learned a LOT watching that 'diver come to life.  And come to life it DID.  Awesome... completely... totally... Awesome!!  What museum are you going to give it to?  :)  Please don't make us wait TOO long on the next project.  And again, thank you for a heck of a tutorial.

OK, Chuck, get the manuscript off to FSM, it will be one of the best articles ever.  They'll serialize it and run it over several months (or years!).  Great model!!

I take my biretta off to you oh Obi Wan! I have been truly inspired from watching you work. It makes me want to go that much farther on my projects. It's time to start my triplane and see what happens. Are you doing the Toryu next?

Keep up the good work and keep inspiring the rest of us!

Beautifully executed Chuk!  I agree, a most entertaining and thought provoking read.  I have adopted many of the techniques you have presented, and I thank you for helping me become a better modeler.

Can't wait to see what's next Herr Oberst! Wink [;)]

Absolutely amazing Chuk.  I came upon this thread somewhere in the middle and have enjoyed watching the project progress, not to mention the development of the characters.  Thank you for educating and entertaining us.  Now.... put that beauty in a case and keep it safe and clean!

Yea... I dont think ill be the only one that hunts you down if you dont submit this entire thing to FSM.  You can use that bit I did for you for christmas so you dont have to wade for posts (I did that just for this, This needs to be published man)

Chuk, WOW.  I have to say, this is a thread that I've been following since I've joined and I am absolutely stunned with what you have accomplished.  Your Helldiver is beautiful.  I'm almost sad that it's finished.  Great job!

Chuk, quite frankly you are not a modeler.....you are an artist in the purist sense!  I bow to you oh jedi master of styrene!  Your tutorial over the time I have watched it has given me tips and pointers I think will make me a better modeler.  For that I thank you.

I can't wait to see what new project you will have up your sleeve!

Well- I done did it!  The Helldiver is complete- she's sitting on the bench in a quite glow.  I'd like to thanks you all for the support and encouragement received oover the last 15 months or so- it's been much appreciated.  I've gone from typing captions, which is laborious and dull for me- scribbling away right on the pictures and adding my little homunculi to entertain and amuse.   Over 500 pics and who know how many posts later- I've finished me a model!   But you're not logged in to hear me yammer- on to the pics!
