I am absolutely flabbergasted by this build, not only is it some of the most incredible work I have seen, it also allowed me to use the word 'flabbergasted' in a sentence.

I want you to be my new best friend!

(the old one has some miles on it, and I want to trade up)

She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

Seriously though, I've learned more from this thread than from 30+ years of fiddling with model kits, and for that I thank you. You're an artist, in more than the obvious way.

Keep it coming!

Another great installment Chukw!

Where can we view some your commercial works? If it's okay, I mean. I think it would be interesting!

Thanks, Daywalker and dupes!  Here's the link to the originator of the Mighty Toothbrush Sander- it's in German, but well-illustrated and featuring more fabulous tips: http://www.modellversium.de/tipps/1-werkzeuge/1-elektro-zahnbuerste-zum-schleifen-und-bohren.html

This guy deserevs all the credit!!!

Oh, and prying out that bulkhead?  As I was was jimmying it the phrase, "Hold my beer- I'm gonna try something!" ran through my tiny mind.    Propeller [8-]

That toothbrush idea is PURE GENIUS! Bow [bow]

I guess the part that really gets me is that you're willing (and confident enough) to rip out parts of the awesome 'pit you've already attached knowing that you have the skills to fix it. That would send me into some sort of heart palpitations...Dead [xx(]

Great stuff, Chuck! Cool [8D]

Once again I'm humbled by all these kind words- thanks, fellas!

Subfixer- I've heard of this character before- but the link won't work for me.  I'll try Google.  By the way, my friends all think that Jeff bRidges is playing me in Iron Man!  Wish I had a giant robot suit...

arki30 , Watchmann: Thanks for checking the link- art is my first love!

Well, filling seams is probably my least favorite part of the build- but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.  Me, too!

Chuck, have you ever heard of Naval Aviation News Magazine? I think I found your cartoon character's grandpappy: Grampaw Pettibone. Here is a link to back issues from the 1940s, some require Adobe reader. The articles are great and written during the war and cover all aspects of Naval aviation.

Hey, guys, thanks a million!  And Jeeves- that is one cool article- thanks!

I was busy with some freelance yesterday- I drew and inked 16 Marvel Comics trading cards!  You can check 'em here: Trading card fun!

I once again felt a need to add to the parts count of the kit , so I sawed off the rudder.  Well, with all the other surfaces animated it was just beggin' for it!

All right, men- at ease.  Smoke if you got 'em, and see you next time!

It's always a gratifying moment when you get that fuselage glued together. That's the time when a model plane starts to really look like a plane. It's a big step forward!

Can't wait to see what's coming next!

Sweet stuff Chuk!!!  Really weird seeing her all buttoned up-- but it sure did pay off with what you can still see!

Not sure if you saw this-- but I was looking up some stuff for my Avenger build and saw this article on the Helldiver--

Chuck, you is da man. Seeing it buttoned up DID look wierd. Shes quite a fat brute. Loving it though fella. You carelessly mentioned a 21century Toys kit that you used the wire from? Could that possibly be your next project???
