This'll be a "Wings in Unorthadox Places" build, and a "What if Burt Rutan had designed the B-17?" gag...

(For those of you that don't know him, his designs are almost ALL canard wing or at least unusual..

While it's not "my" scale, nor do I usually build without a diorama, this one's fun enough to build, and I also found an old 1/72 Revell "Memphis Belle" B-17F kit in my stash that i'd forgotten I still had, from about 1977... It was inside another kit-box, along with a bunch of other "parts-kits" that I have...

The interesting part will be the main gear, lol..  Definitely NOT a tail-dragger, lol...

I'm still looking for my Tomcat. The LHS's have the old Revell/Monogram 1:48 and the Italeri. If you were going to chose, which one would you buy?

I forgot to ask - would an X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars qualify. I saw one at the LHS and the question came to mind. (I'm still in with the Tomcat BTW)

Well, it's now official. I placed an order with Sprue Brothers today for the Berkut kit, so I should be starting construction in a week or so

Found the unnecessary kit for the strange fliyng thing, the old airfix/heller super etendard. I've already complete a good academy high detailed  s etendard for the falkland GB then not need another one aso i paid only 3 € for it

I got this off E-bay today - $25.49 USD including shipping. About $10.00 less than any of the LHSs were advertising (if they even had it in.)

WOW!!! this bring back memories when this giant arrived at my house and my worin skill was so low! Decals are the same like my copy, as i can remember was not bad for academy standard decals

I picked up three interesting 1/72 kits recently and I was wondering if one of them might be suitable .

The first two are Anigrand's DOAK VZ-4DA VTOL and Bell's X-22A VTOL "Tilt Rotors"

The third option and my favouite of all three kits isAnigrands XC-142A  "Tilt Rotor"

I recently bought a nice 12"x9'' photo off ebay of the XC-124A , so I would like to start with that one if that's okay ?

This is what im looking at building.

Its very similar to a henschel p-75.

Some of the lines will be different. And ill have to sort out the hook. (it was specially designed to be launched from and captured by rigid airships)

Thats a nice looking plane Scorpio. And an unusual idea. Did it ever get off the drawing board.

I dont beleive so. The P-75 was a luft 46 design. The Bloodhawk was from a game lol. Performs admirably in the game. Has a high stall speed though.

I see. I just had a look at the P-75 on the Luft 46 site. They are almost identical.

Yup. Almost identical. Different nose profile though. Couple of other differences. But i doubt anyone will notice too much.

Okay, That's good for me, it actually looks like a shinden with a tail on it's belly instead of the wings and with a duo-prop.
What scale is that?

Btw, I'm still silintly hoping for someone to enter with a F-111 Aardvark or a MIG-23...
Nobody willing to build that one? I haven't acquired one of those two, otherwise I would add em here myself.

I built a MiG 23 last year, but i do have 2 F-111's and a MiG 27 in the stash. So if i don't feel upto the triebflugel, or if i have time after that, i add one of those.

At this stage call it 1:72nd. That may change depending on which cockpit i decide to use. Im carving up a mix of 48 and 72nd scale aircraft. hopefully this works.
