My first as well.  I gotta say it sounds like a whole lot of fun.  It's weird feeling this kind of anticipation to go buy a model that I know I'll be sending to someone else.  It sounds like a great way to start getting to know the folks here in the forum.

That's awesome to hear! You'll find that the anticipation and the giving are the truly fun parts. Building is great- but any time you can have fun with chatting and fellowshipping and giving, it just gives you that warm feeling inside!

Kinda like a double bean burrito with a side of guacamole.... Wink [;)]

LOL

Let's review, so far we've cookies, burritos and guacamole.  Foods covered, what're we drinking?Make a Toast [#toast]  Sounds like fun, I'm in.  Email inbound.

I think I have some scotch and tequila in the cupboard.

I've put in a request to the admins in Support and Feedback to help us out with the permissions to do this.  Also, it is a simple change to make a countdown clock one of the editing bar options, and BBcode even supports it with a built in code, and I've given them a heads up as to that option as well.  So, we'll soon see if this is doable.

Cheers,
Alex

Cool! Lemme know how that goes!

Any idea of what the GB badge will look like this year?. Just had to ask. No burretos please.

Steve

You know, I hadn't even thought of that! I better get to work in the workshop!

Okay, started thinking about what I could do for a badge idea.

First thought was the GB name was too long to fit on the badge.

Second thought.  Oh my...  3rd A** GBA!!! Shock [:O]  That won't do!

Ok, reading all you guys' posts I remembered the last years fun so I almost made up mind to parecipate, but I'll let you know my definitive decision.
In the meantime I have a badge proposal (will be resized if chosen):

Nothing definitive just a suggestion.

What do you think?

I also like the badge, but would suggest lightening the green font to make it easier to read when it it re-sized.

That's an awesome idea Avus! I love it!

Two things- I agree on changing the color of the green text- perhaps something yellow, with the black outline? Also, can you change it to read "Showdown at the North Pole"?

I think having the larger size posted, plus a badge size, would be awesome.

Thanks so much for that my friend!

Avus - Fantastic group badge.  I like very much.  Such talent Bow [bow].  I'm envious of Santa's helper.

Jon - Can we shop yet.  Well at least look.  Shop - get plastic - use plastic.  Humm think the LHS will trade

Welcome aboard Avus.

Email inbound Jon!

Thanks John!

This is the definitive and resized version:

Added a tiny green border and made the lettering more readable.

Sooooo, when do we get to open the presents?

Easy Papa-John, the earlier you start shopping the earlier the kids (DREW...) start snooping around in your closet! Wink [;)]
