So here's a question that has been on my mind.  Let's say I go out and find the perfect kit for my recipiant this weekend.  Do I mail it off right away and let the poor fool drool over it for two whole months (in which case the box will have been shaken so many times that he'll run the risk of having nothing but styrene powder when he opens it)  ...or, do I wait and send it at the last possible moment and let him sweat it out thinking his package will never come?  What do you guys think?

Not only should you make them drool, but wrap it in iron tape 10 times, so theres NO peeking!!

Send it ASAP!  There's no getting used to those little voices coming from inside the package...they just get louder and more insistent, and Headphones [{(-_-)}] don't work!  Big Smile [:D]

Alex

Defiantly some iron tape. Big Smile [:D] Maybe just wrap the whole thing in duct tape.

Dave- If you have my name too (Big Smile [:D]) I'd say wait until the last minute to send it.  If it's for KINGTHAD, send it right now! Evil [}:)]

Why wait.  Send the package now so we can all watch and listen to him squirm for two months as the little voices hound your recipient...

I was thinking a rigged claymore in the box but decided that was tooo destructive. I will just stick with the old bottle of glue in the box trick. Pirate [oX)]

Got my guy. Nothing appropriate in the stash. The Wife thinks this is one of the coolest things ever. Permission to get stupid has been granted. Squadron order placed.

Got my victims name today Jon. As soon as I got it I knew what kind of kit I wanted for them. I have a few in the stash that would fit the needs but I will still go shopping just to see whats out there anyway. Either way I am going to ship it very soon so as to drive them crazy.

OK- all the emails have been sent out!

  • Please check your inbox- if you HAVE NOT received a message from me, let me know.
  • If you have received a message, and have not already confirmed receipt, please reply back and let me know you got it
  • I included the recipient's forum name in italics (for most of you.... I may have forgot a few...in most cases it's the line after their name...)
  • If you have any questions at all, please email me, or PM me.
  • THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT- If, for any reason, you cannot continue participation, please let me know immediately. And don't worry about it- this is about giving and fun and the joy of the upcoming Christmas season. I won't be mad at you at all- won't think bad of you in the least. I know life can come at you fast. I have quite a few "stand-bys" ready to jump in and cover a second person if need be. (And thanks to you folks who volunteered!)
  • Please have packages mailed by November 15th. I know that is quite early, but for those shipping internationally, it is very important.
  • Once you have mailed out your package, please email me so I can check you off.
  • When you get your package- no peeking! No revealing who sent it until the appropriate time. You'll just have to sit.... and stare at it... wondering what goodies await! Big Smile [:D]
Thanks to everyone for participating. You guys make this a real joy every year! I am blessed to know all of you!

and the fun starts, freedom to torture a fellow finescalian.......Thanks again to our host, I can barely find the time to post and yet he finds the time to put this together. I guess there is something to be said for church, hard work, devotion to the happpiness of others and at least 2 pots of coffee a day.....

It is only the intellect that keeps me sane; perhaps this makes me overvalue intellect against feeling

I just received my email from Jon a few minutes ago. And already found the perfect gift for my lucky victim.

And many thanks to Jon, this is the most fun on a forum I've ever had.
