Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09-7/1/09)

Wow, it's been quiet here lately.

 As for myself, I've been workin' on my SU-76M for the Urban Armor GB, hope you guys check out my WIP thread in the armor section. The deadline for that GB is December 31st so I plan to finish up my SU-76 and then get right into this GB, come January 1st.

dupes: Yeah, I'm tryin' to lure people into this GB. I guess I need stronger bait. LOL

Before I forget, I'd just like to wish everybody a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and hope everyone's having a great holiday, wherever they may be and with whomever they may be celebrating the holiday with.

I was wondering how many of us will be sitting at the bench on New Years Eve waiting on the ball to drop so we can start the build?

I know I'll be at the bench......(that's partly due to the fact that I started up this GB. LOL) 

 I can't wait!   

I know I'll be at it waiting for the ball to drop. My wife works at the local Taco Bell and will most likley clsoe that day. She'll be too tired to want to do anything!!! So I guess I need to finish my Sherman and clean my bench so I will have nothing to slow my start.

This is gonna be me on December 31st waiting for the GB to start and realizing how much I spent on new kits that Christmas.

Guess what............only 27 days untill the New Year and the start of the Lend-Lease GB! The days seem to be going by really fast, but that's probably my imagination.

I have read through the posts and it looks like this fly guy will be doing a treadhead build. One British Army Sherman Firefly coming up, I may even squeeze in a wingy thingy build too. hmmm, decisions decisions.....

Gregers, can't wait to see that Firefly. Let me know what scale and who makes it.

The Firefly will be an original Matchbox one I have in the stash It's 1/76th. it'll be done complete with the small dio base that these kits came with too. I'm not a targe......ooops tank modeler so please be gentle with me on this.

Actually indy link tracks are not as bad as you think, I did my first set for my SU-76M build that I'm still finishing up for another GB. If you want an indy link tutorial, I reccomend doog's tutorial, here's the link:

Yep, that works, great to have you aboard, Pavlvs!! Nice to see some more ship entries in this GB, really adds variety. Only one other person said their gonna build a ship(s) for this GB so far, but their still undecided on exactly what.

It's almost Christmas........so what's everyone up to? Going on some hoilday vacations, vistiting relatives, workin' at the bench, or maybe you're trying to finish a build for that GB that ends at the end of the year.

......by the way, anyone get some early Christmas gifts? I know I did, I picked up a 1/35 Tamiya 7.5cm Pak 40 and 1/35 Tamiya Brass 7.5 cm Projectiles. Both at discounted prices, I might add.
