Some sources suggest that at least some of the Corsairs supplied to Britain through Lend-Lease were the "F4U-4B," plus that particular Corsair is known as the Lend-Lease version. So that's good enough for me, the F4U-4B Corsair does qualify for this GB.Smile [:)]

Let me know if you want in on this GB, Glamdring.

Sure why not, I need a change of pace from armor subjects.  I'll do the Academy 1/48 version of the corsair.

I wish I could find a ship to do, but available subjects are a bit sparse and pricey....

"Hello all" I know I have shown you all what I'm going to work on. But I think it would be good to show that I have not started my kit as well.

From reading up on the build of the US truck version(1940s Studebaker cab or GMC)that this kit didn't have in it. I see that I need to do a lot of scratch-building. To the cab, fuel cell, front and rear fenders and mabe I may modifiy the running boards. So you see I have a lot to change to come up with the right WWII version. So unlike all my old posts in "08" I'm going to keep my work shots to a minimum so I can get this project done. (All that up loading time) can best be used in building.

Building the Impossible Is my main goal!!

Looks like you'll have your work cut out, but your builds always turn out great. Just make sure you still post WIP pics even if you keep them to a minimum, because I know that I want to see them.Cool [8D]

Here's pics of my kit, the 1/35 Zvezda M-3 Scout Car, had it in my stash for a while now. The molding looks quite good with minimal flash, so I'm expecting this build to be quite intresting and fun.Propeller [8-]

I have opened the box for my Lend Lease Sherman and here's the contents.

Unfortunatly the decals are missing but with luck I will be able to scrounge them from some place.

If not I have a few stand by kits I can do. next in line is a Brewster Buffalo. Also a Matchbox kit.

All the best.

Work has officially commenced on my russian Airacobra. Built some small styrene 'containers' to hold the tungsten powder I like to use for ballast and am now ready to hit all 'pit components with the base color. Pics to follow soon.

Hey mg.mikael, I just finished up a Camel, looking forward to starting on the DUKW. I hate to start without all the pieces to the puzzle. Will get a pic of what I got so far up when the bat is charged for my camera. I've got this uneasy feeling that it may be sometime before I see the PE I'd ordered for this one. May have to wing it, unless my "winging it" priviledges have been revoked?

Hey guys,You can tell where I started by the bottom picture!! Well I have been busy for the last four day between all the interruptions. So here is where I started and where I am at on my M-10 Wolverine. I have most of the sub assemblies done. I did have to fix two of the bogies as I had put the return roller/skid pieces in backwards but not too bad to fix just frustrating.Banged Head [banghead] I have done some painting,  but I will be airbrushing the interior tomorrow and the exterior.  Any and all comments welcomed.

ruddratt: Sounds like your making great progress. Can't wait to see those pics!Smile [:)]

Mobious: No worries, I'm sure that PE you're waiting on will arrive soon enough.Wink [;)] But if you feel that you have to wing it, wing it.

Bushi: Looks like your makin' good progress, I can't even tell you're having any problems.Thumbs Up [tup]Cool [8D] You be done before I start! I'm currently working on a tiny 1/100 Tamiya Messerschmitt ME 163B for another GB, and all I have left to do is touching it up and weathering. So I want to finish that build before I start my scout car for this build.

IV Ausf F1 for that. I hope I have not bitten of more than I can chew LOL.Big Smile [:D] I still have to finish my StuG too.Banged Head [banghead] I only have room for one at a time.

To eveyone who has posted so far the builds look Great.

Hello? Anybody out there?Question [?]

Yeesh, this thread has been quiet lately, I haven't been able to start my M-3 Scout Car yet because this weeks been terribly busy so far. But that doesn't have to stop others from postin' stuff. So that said, where is everyone? We have 30 GB members and it's dead silent.

I am planning to start my Sherman soon too. I just need to finish up a Do-335, B-1, Gee Bee, and a P-47, all of which are very close to being complete.

Got a day off tomorrow and I plan on spending quite a bit of it at the bench. Already have the cockpit base color painted and the detail painting in it done. Ready for a wash and some drybrushing and I should then have something to show tomorrow for sure.

Hey mg.mikael, still waiting... I figure I'll wait a couple more weeks, If I don't the PE will arrive 2 days after I finish and I'll be stuck holding PE for a DUKW. That will be the last time I order anything from those knuckleheads! I'll be sticking with my regulars, very dependable and very quick. Looking forward to progress pics from all.
