Smeagol the Figure is looking great and starting to take shape.  I can actually tell what it is now.  Keep at it. Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

Sean, I love fruit cake Dinner [dinner]

Keep at it Roy, try the vinegar if you have to as you know you've got a back up.  I'd like to know if that vinegar concoction works as I've got plenty of Academy models in the stash.  Wink [;)]

Pretty cool eh ! I really hate to see this GB die and wither off into the depths of the unknown Sigh [sigh]

And for those Interested in the Me-321  Here is my attempt to make the deck look like wood

Wood Deck

The detail inside the nose

Nose Structure

And more inside the Fuse.

Inner Detail I am on the Hunt for another one of these kits as this one is being built "In Flight" and I will someday down the road build the Zwilling towing it. But I would like to do another on the Ground being loaded with the doors all open  Thumbs Up [tup]

I dunno Dave? For the next one I was thinking about a 1/48 B-17 with PE and scratch built details! Some AM kits maybe. Just a quick thing since we only have 2 days!  Rats hit post too soon!  Sean that looks great so far. A fun kit! I just read over at Franks KOA GB how this fellow made really cool wood using two or 3 colors and a Q-tip. I'm going to try that out!

How totally weird.  My wife is a teacher as well.  She teaches CDS (special ed.) in a elementary level.

Hmmm... must be a joke in there somewhere about teachers attracted to guys who play with models but I can't think of it at the moment.  Where's Aaron when you need him! Clown [:o)]

Holy cow this thing is rolling again!  I think the joke was when you think of a fellow playing with models that has special needs my name came into his mind!

Kudo's to your wife as that is oe of the hardest jobs! Very satisfing in a way though as those kids are the most genuine and loveable bunch. They are not encumbered with all the vices that put us in the normal category. I have always thought the joke there was they really feel sorry for us and consider our needs special.

OK guys, here's where I am at this moment.

The prop & spinner are not glued on yet.  I wanted you guys to check out the nose art decal.  I gave it my best but this thing is like a piece of rubber.  You can see the folds, cracks and over all ill fit of the decal.  I have attached the LG but still need the doors.  They are all painted and waiting.

Dave, I would like to take you up on you offer of the extra nose art you have.  I'll PM you my mailing address.

Tell me what you guys think of it so far.  I would say that this GB is done for me.  Yet I will finish this kit before the New Year.  I want to say I finished one build.

Thank you so much Dave.  You all should know that I spent most of the day on that on decal.  I applied setting solution every 30-60 mins.  made cuts the works and that's the best I could do.  The only other thing to try would be acidEvil [}:)]

Most people think that scifi/gundam kits are for kids, because there snap together.  I can tell you, I havent met a scale kit, that is as hard as a scifi/gundam kit yet.  This one I did was an easy one too.

Awesome work, Roy! You certainly are a braver man that I! I think I'd probably avoid those tiger decals like the plague. But despite the problems with getting em to lay down, she sure looks like a fantastic build! Cool [8D]

Guys, I've posted Smeagol's build on the front page and just wanted to thank you all for a very enjoyable ride on the crazy train that was the weekend Madness GB.  We definitely have to do this again and if Mark does not host one in the new year I will definitely do so.  I had a blast and I hope you did too.  Hopefully we'll all be a little wiser and better prepared for the next one.
