I'm down for this. Maybe post what you have so far with the sprues to get an idea of what is left. Maybe set a certain number to finish?, I.E., I have 5 unfinished kits but I can finish 3 in the next 2 months sort of thing or whatever number. Just tossing ideas out there. Maybe call it "The No More Excuses" GB...

Regards,

Jeff

I'll add that to what I have.  I'll try and start it this week, perhaps Tuesday.  The start date?  Ideas?

I'm off to watch "Christmas Vacation" with the familyBig Smile [:D]

Timeless Classic, that and a "Christmas Story" are the only movies we watch that pertains to the holiday anymore. Whistling [:-^]

Dave - yep thats an old original BV141, I have another hidden around here somewhere.

Roy - I like an Start when you cant date , maybe have a deadline say something of Jan 10 to keep it in order ?  I just want to keep motivated and finish these kits up. If I was to wait I may be inclined to start anothe "Great Project" then never get back to them. Thats just me though , I cant vouch for the other "procrastinators" out there Laugh [(-D]

I thought it started Thanksgiving weekend? Taped Shut [XX] Why so serious?

Should I start one now and leave it to finish later? Mischief [:-,]

Time length would have the deciding factor on the build I fear.

leme ask you guys a question.  I have a main piece, I painted it, let it dry, I must have over painted because there was a bit still wet and it got a fingerprint smude.  The usuial culprits to remove paint (windex, shampoo (it works)) havent been working to remove it, what should I do because I cant get the paint even now.

Guy & Roy - I agree, the Weekend Madness was a Blast. I also am looking forward to the next one..

I think someone should have a "Finish the Un~Finished Build".  I was lurking around and found 12 aircraft kits in various stages of being built. Most of all of these were shelved due to not having a certain paint color...  I have no excuses now not to finish them, my booth now exhausts outside without the window, I have a new bench with ample work area, paints have been restocked - Well I have decided I want to get as many of the Dirty Dozen finished before the New Year rolls around..

Dirty Dozen

Oooo... is that a Bv 141 on your bench?!?!?!  Of course it is.  I've been wanting to build one of those for a long time and I hear Airfix is going to re-issue it sometime soon. Propeller [8-]Propeller [8-]Propeller [8-]

Ive got the HPM 1/48th version. Looking forward to its turn at the bench

Smeagol, What id do is let it go off as much as you can afford (Timescale?) Give it a light wetsand, then touch in with the airbrush. Should be fairly invisible. And in future...where gloves. I live in the things when modelling. The surgical tpe. Big box, cheap as chips.

it wasnt the finger print, it was the smudge, gloves or not it would be there.  I can take my time to do it, but the paint is just to thick at this point (and im usin a spray can. alot easier for the larger areas on a gundam kit)

Hey folks,

I'm alive, more or less...We had a major surprise at work that had to be dealt with ASAP, so I've been a little busy.  Let's just say that its only Tuesday afternoon (right? I don't even know anymore) and I've already gotten enough hours to be done for the week.  Ugh.

On the plus side, my airbrush is back, and I'd still like to do this build. I need get some rest, and I need to finish my spraybooth, but if its okay, I'd like to go through with this.  Who knows, maybe I won't even be the last one done!

As for being AWOL with the Swedish Bikini Team...I don't think my Nordic Bikini Team girl would like that very much, would you, Azcat?

I'd also be interested in the "No Excuses" Group Build...I'll have to go check it out.

Cheers,
Alex

How bout it's too darn hot to work and too humid to paint! Got up to about 81 today. Rain but the frogs and lizards are out and just had a praying mantis land on my shoulder! Kids are screaming cuz I refuse to turn on the AC on Dec 9th, How Christmasy is that?

Roy I got plenty to qualify I am sure like I said just depends on the time frame allowed to what I pick as some are pretty involved projects. I am flexable though so no worries!

Beautiful Picture Sean. Looks cold but very serene. I grew up in Ohio and remember walking late at night and how the snow seemed to cushion all the noise.  At least you guys are consistant. Down here it changes very suddenly and dramatically. I was going to tell Roy to fan some air south but it looks like it is already coming. Cooled down to a comfortable 72 just while we have been posting.

Please send some of that heat up here.  We had around 6-7 inches of snow and I don't think it got over 21.  Got to love it. When it snowed only 1-2 inches they were plowing continous.  This one they didn't plow till 5am.  I was at work already.  At least I don't drive truck anymore.  Now I just have to drive to work and back.  Then I can look at the snow while at work.

Sean, very nice view.  I love it.  As for my neck of the woods we don't have any snow on the ground yet.  Got a little dusting last week but it's already gone.  Temp. are hovering around freezing point but are expected to drop by the weekend (ain't that always the way it goes Disapprove [V]).  The kids are hoping for a white Christmas which is not guaranteed around here.
