Darren, the Phantom is just ....Phantomic, It looks fantastic so far. You look so on top of it. I think Aaron said it best. (Whatever the heck he was on about) Also Aaron, whos David? In your signed pic. Is that your alter ego? mmmmm.. LOL

Roy, loving the P40. Ive built one of those and theyre an involved build. Your a brave man for tackling that for sure.

Darren when you get some free time.... Whistling [:-^] You gotta tell me the story of that base. Looks purty dern baselike. I like it. Gotta share some of those ancient secrets discovered in the druid rune cave. I hear that is where Guy found his elfs.

I'm not sure I a make the 48th hour time limit, but they're painted!

I'll get on with the decals on the Corsair and try to find the misplaced canopy!

Cheers,

Azgaron

Well, it's four hours after deadline, and I'm off to bed! I'm almost done with the decals, and now there's only the small bits left to do! Here's how it looks right now!

I still got decals and stuff left to do on the F-117!

I'm pretty happy anyway, and I enjoyed participating in this GB, and will do it again if a new is started! Many fine builds have been done!

Cheers,

Azgaron

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] Big ditto! I am all for seeing them done. Too many works never seem to get finished of my own so any completed build is glorious!

Now to some matters at hand. Being Azgaron shows as being from Sweden a little security check into his background is required since he is building a Stealth F-117 and all that so we must ensure he has a security clearance.

A Secret pic reveals him hard at work on his builds.

Sent in the undercovers agents to keep an eye on him. Note the Swedish disguises.

Well the only suspicous information they have turned up is when you remove the ZG from Azgaron you have the name of a rather ospicious character that is a known prankster and heart breaker. Turned out not to be an alias and our builder seems legit. That being said Well done Azgaron! Supremem work!

Secret message to the CAG! It is time to extract the team. Here is a pocket photo for reference.

Tomorrow, I plan to add decals, gloss again, dull coat, furnish my display base, add the weapons and paint/mount the canopy.................Phew!!Blush [:I]

Here's how we look at end of play on day one:

Azgaron,

The Corsair is looking good, didn't know they made a drop top model!  I know you'll find the glass somewhere.  Look forward to more pics of it and the F-117.

The Phantom is looking phabulous.  Look forward to more pics.

Azgaron, looking great and almost done.  Son't sweat the few extra hours.  Some people (AHEM... ) around here are still working on their builds from last weekend.

Darren, The F-4 is looking great too.  Looks like your on top of things.

On my P-40, it will be OD top with neutral gray bottom.  Should the line between them be hard or soft?

Roy - I am no means a P-40 expert, all my references show some of  both. But the majority of them  (especially the shark mouth birds) have a sharper line in the pictures I looked at.  By the way thats the same scheme I am painting mine.. Must be something about that Yellow Spinner !

Sean, thanks for the info.  Right now I'm leaning somewhere in the middle.  The yellow I used is very close to the decale yellow of the nose art.  It's the little bottle of Testors flat yellow.

You know I think that little bottle is one of my favorite yellows. I still find it the most difficult color to get right with white being a close second!

Dave? You seem busy this weekend! I bet your prepping to do that 1/72 Gato for the next weekend build! Tongue [:P]

Been very quiet here compared to last weekends insanity! Might have to send out the baywatch girls to look for survivors!

Vert quick lunchtime update from me:

All port side decals are on, just the canopy left to paint......decals are poor quality, its taking a lot of set/sol to get them to settle.

I will return!Pirate [oX)]Make a Toast [#toast]
